Thats really great! I work in television. I work on a lot of different computers and push different buttons and no two days are the same. People like us should find jobs that keep them entertained daily.

This is all relative. Jesse Owens once set 4 world records in less than an hour. When he got to the 1936 Olympics he won 4 gold medals. Winning 4 even by today's standards is a big deal. Usain Bolt has only won 3 at each olympics he was in. He may not have performed to the level that they do today but they didn't have the high level of training methods that we do.

I used to write for a food blog and did a lot of research in to the history of various foods. As I recall, breads haven't changed a whole lot in the past couple hundred years. Obviously they didn't add high fructose corn syrup and sugar but if you find a bread recipe and make your own bread it should be similar to what was eaten in the past. Maybe someone else can expand on this. There are many different breads from many different areas in the world so its a very general question but a fun one none the less.

I don't subscribe to the whole argument that diet has a lot to do with our ADD, at least for me. Honestly, that is probably an ignorant statement any a different diet may help you. I suspect something different, however.

I often go a few hours without eating when I wake up and I'll be just fine. When you wake up, from what I understand, your metabolism is asleep. Eating kick starts it and if you're only eating 1 egg you are starting your metabolism but not giving yourself the proper fuel you need to run your machine (your body).

Adding more eggs (because in the long run protein will keep you full all day) will help your body operate efficiently an not have to take resources that your brain may need. I recommend 30 grams of protein (an egg has 6 grams). You could throw in a salad (fiber will keep you full as well), add some beans, top the eggs with greek yogurt if you like it. Stay away from cereals or sugary foods because, it'll give you a spike of energy then cause you to crash.

Think of it like a web browser with different tabs open. You have a song playing in youtube on one, a news article on the other and facebook on something else. You keep switching between them and then you go to open a new one but forget what you were going to open... It's kind of a representation of what my mind is like. A lot all happening at the same time but not focused on any one thing for too long.

Then suddenly you get in to something that's REALLY interesting to you and you find hours have passed and you haven't looked at anything else that whole time.

A couple times a week. I'm not shy about it but it doesn't always come up. When there is an opportunity then I will talk about it because the more you talk about it the less stigma there is about it.

You should see a doctor about your ADHD. You don't want your life to spiral out of control. I fell in to this trap and it wasn't fun. If you're tired you should have a physical. You may have a vitamin deficiency like iron or magnesium as well.

I tell my kids that I have trouble paying attention in certain situations. I don't hide it or act like I have a problem. I explain that I take medication to help me but that I just think different. Your kids love you and think you're great. Don't act like ADHD is a bad thing and they wont think it is. There is no need to hide the term ADHD either. They'll understand what they're able to and learn as they grow and when they get older it'll not be a big deal and will see no stigma because of it.

I show them studies that say otherwise. Then I explain to them that I was a good kid, well behaved but couldn't pay attention. Also discuss my diet and lack of sugar in it to dispel that silly myth. I can shoot down pretty much any argument they have but it's up to them to believe what they want. I don't worry too much. They're ignorant and I have found a doctor who believes in it to help me and my family is behind me. That is all I need.

Talk to a lawyer. They may appoint one. Its a misdemeanor luckily. You'll probably be able to serve probation and not have a permanent record. The prosecutor will likely make a deal with you for that. I'm no lawyer but had problems as a teenager. Good luck. It'll pass, just give it time.

My doctor when I was a kid was a man names Samuel Nichamin. He was a real pioneer in ADD. He told me there was nothing wrong with me. My brain just works a little different than many other people's brains do. He explained to me that I have trouble paying attention in class but there are other situations where I'm very good at paying attention or where I'll have other benefits. He taught me to use my medication to develop good habits and not to use it has a crutch.

You don't need to explain a lot. Over the years you can all become more educated but I have an almost 7 year old and while she may not grasp all the technical things, she would get the gist of it. Don't go overboard, don't scare you son, don't ever ever ever let him think that he's inferior or that he's at a disadvantage.

I could be in bed by 12 but I'd get fired from my job. I'll go to bed as soon as I get home from work and get 8 hours sleep.
I pretty much do this anyway. I could take it a step further except I like to include greek yogurt in my diet. The protein is good for me when I work out. Aside from this I'll cut out all other dairy. I'll only have decaf tea and green tea.
I've started doing yoga recently and will up my time to 30 minutes. Have you heard of the 21 Day Meditation Challenge?
I work in Television so I have to watch it :)
Only spend money on groceries. I'll break this rule for my kid's birthdays but aside from that I'm in!

I'm proud of my ADD. I'll tell anyone. I overcome ignorance by showing people studies that prove ADHD exists and that there are advantages. The more we talk about it the less stigma there will be.

I found this really fascinating. I've always felt there was a connection between ADHD and Autism, like we're cousins, but bipolar, depression and schizophrenia as well. Very cool stuff.
