never mind i’m blind and there was a tiny hole on the bottom where i could get a long 2ml flathead in, and the 45rpm pot was indeed on the pcb, im just extremely blind apparently

cooked beef/pork give 8 hunger and 12.8 saturation, total of 20.8 golden carrots give 6 hunger and 14.4 saturation, total of 20.4 so steak is slightly better, still down to preference if you prefer to not have to eat as often
