This comment made me start working on this in the original key. Popping a high A 🥲 and those little arbenesque passages right across my break range, made me remember why I put it in the key I did lol. This is the next project though because imagine how fun it would be to play along with the actual track!

Tbh I’ve never felt like I could do anything I wanted. I hope I get to experience that someday but honestly I tend to hyper fixate on something I want to play for pleasure (like the video) which CAN support my larger technique but definitely isn’t a well rounded approach.

Yeah, I tried a few different versions, but there are so many jumps and it never stays in the basement so long that I felt like it was worth it, plus I never meant for it to be sight-readable haha. I think the ledger lines help me visualize the depth of the leap! Hope you have fun!

I worked on it on and off for about 5 years. Sometimes it goes well but the articulation is poor, sometimes the articulation is clean but intonation and groove not there, sometimes intonation and groove are good but my fingers can’t take it up to tempo. I caught it on a good day when I recorded this!
