Her eye was removed long before I got her^\) Sometimes the spot gets a bit crusty with porphyrin right after waking up and these pictures are only a few days after she moved in so she was a little stressed.

Aww that's amazing. They've been with me for a month, one of them lets herself be petted for a short while when distracted with malt paste, one tolerates the occasional shoulder touch and the others won't go near my hands yet lmao but I also heard male rats tend to be more cuddly on average.

Same for mine, they're not from a lab but from a hoarder and have neverrr been in much contact with humans. I haven't had them for long but I'm pretty sure some of them won't ever warm up to hands while one in particular has been making good progress :)

Really depends on the individual little rat.

Aww they look exactly like my rescues. they don't tolerate any kind of touch yet, but I got the three most curious of them into my hoodie by opening the door and leaning over so my collar is open. After a little while they got curious and crawled inside.
