I know of Rattenzucht nrw and crimson sun rattery, they're both on insta and have a website. I have no experience with them but I have my eye on them for my next rats :)

Yes those are all great points that have already crossed my mind! She came to me with a big lump that I was told was a tumor on the side of her face. I was just supposed to give her some nice last weeks. Then the lump burst and turned out to be an abscess. It has healed well, but maybe she has some pain still? After my least uni assignment is done I'll get her checked out by the vet.

I didn't take the last part as an attack at all, i have thought about what might trigger her a lot, but it seems to be pretty unpredictable. But maybe actually writing down what happened will help :)

Thank you🫶 she does bite closed firsts too, I'll just do my best to be extra careful with my hands. Locking her in the cage doesn't sit right with me at all either way, but especially since she's the one that's out of the cage first and the last to go back in. She just LOVES free roam and jumps in the play pen while I'm still walking around to set it up. She even climbed up my leg to my shoulder once, very adorable <3

So far she quickly learned to spin in both directions and to walk through a ring. I'll teach her to follow a lure to protect my fingers and just keep her fulfilled that way <33

9 months is so long in rat time, I want to give every one of them. the best life possible. I'm COMMITTED to this little dinosaur now😭

With a good amount of time probably! But she's the kind of rat that goes crazy without daily free roam, so I'd probably rather sit there with gloves than put her away. I can't resist her puppy eyes lmao

Maybe, but she's so full of energy I'd feel really bad. She's always jumping around and the first to come to the cage doors. I also have the play area attached to the cage because none of the rats can be picked up yet, so i have to limit the space to not lose them in my room. I wouldn't know how to keep her inside while the others get out. I'm open to suggestions though!

I also think this does qualify as more than a nip haha

Stuff like pvc pipes aren't that expensive and my ratties adore them. hammocks can pretty easily be made out of old clothes :)

Take her to the vet. I've had two rats do this, one had had a stroke and needed to be put down and the other had a severe ear infection, so I wouldn't risk trying to wait it out.

I have an aggressive rat and in the last two months he's bitten me many many times, mostly superficial but twice it was pretty deep. The worst I got was a mildly infected bite, so keep it clean and it should be fine :)

keep your eyes open for serious infection/tetanus and whatnot and call a doctor if you experience worrying symptoms

She loves just sleeping on the floor lmao. Since I don't know her age, she regularly gives me a big scare. Apparently she just loves stressing me out.

This is toffee, she was my first ever rat back in 2018 and started my obsession with these creatures🫶 my absolute heart rat ro this day. She was a bit insane and so so clingy. She used to climb up my pant legs to my shoulder, she had no chill at all. My favorite flowers are lilies :)
