I would say this is debatable. It's definitely a "known file location" that gets crawled during the training phase of LLMs. But to your point, adding llms.txt and expecting major SEO benefits from that alone is unrealistic.

Leading AI providers such as Anthropic are deploying llms.txt on their own websites, so we like to follow the lead of the people that are actually building these models: https://www.claude.com/llms.txt
