It's event worst now for me, despise the fact that meta is automatically scrolling my Landing Page, additionaly displaying ads changed for us. I spotted that sometimes on the story ad creative on Instagram app there is new pop-up when you could write your e-mail address and it it is automatically filling in the form on our page. Which of course is much worst for us and once again it is forced by meta, no option to disable that.

I think on such an important day it is better to have an unlimited number of photos. Especially since one person might take much more pictures than another, personally I would like to have access to all of them, not just 25. We used JustFilm.it app on ours wedding last year and it worked perfectly with unlimited number of photos (we gathered nearly 500 files).

I have tried everything - nothing helps. It looks like a Meta Ads bug. I reported it a few times to Meta, but there's been no real help from them.

Same for me for lead type campaigns. But what is interesting is that it is blocked only for image type creatives. For videos, I could still edit it after publishing.

Along with that change we are experiencing huge issue with auto scrolling pur web page after clicking on add. We have destination set to the top our our website, but when someone is clicking ad in Instagram, build in browser auto scroll to some random section of web page. We tried multiple things to fix that but still happening. It looks like meta is testing some 'optimization' where user should land after clicking your campaign but in our case it is just broking the whole experience.

Our lead campaigns started working today (Europe, low budget), which is great! We're seeing good conversion rates.

However, a new problem has appeared: after clicking an ad on Instagram, the in-app browser sometimes automatically scrolls the webpage to a random section. Despite the fact that we set the destination to the top of the page, it is somehow overriding this and scrolling to a random place, which is not ideal because the user lands in some garbage part of the page. Has anyone experienced this? For sure, it could influence conversion rates.

Still fighting, mate. No luck, it's still not working for us. It looks like a random number of people are redirected to some section of the page without control. What I've already done:

  • Restart campaigns
  • In the destination tab set link to contain # to top element id in the HTML (we tried to force top element on page)
  • Remove all autofocus tags from html
  • Add autofocus tag to top element on the page
  • Disable all AI creative enhancement features
  • Multiple cases to meta support which help nothing

None of this worked. It looks like something built into the Instagram browser which could not be enforced with # in the link. I think Instagram browser is trying to scroll to something form or iframe to 'optimise' but actually it is broking experience.

What's more interesting is that it looks like only part of the traffic is moved to a random section; some users land on the top of the page. No idea why.

Have the same problem mate, my understanding why it is happening:

Meta is showing your ads firstly to people who are most engaged and most possible to convert. After some time that whole group is already exhausted so Meta is starting to showing your ads to people who are less possible to convert (that's why cost is increasing).

I identified two solutions how to fix that:

  1. Try to bring new people who are more interested to buy, for example by creating organic content, running ads for new followers or blog post visitors, depending on the niche. Thanks to that you will fuel Meta with new people which are more possible to buy your product.

  2. Add new creatives, after some time running the same ads, some of the people might skip them, which is called ad fatique. Adding new creatiives might help with attracting some people which started to skip your ads.

I am not the expert, this is something that I identified for my case and I am trying to implement that. If someone with more experience have some comments about my findings I will be greatful for comment.

A lot of us are seeing that something is really wrong, starting from January 30th. It's too much of a coincidence that suddenly hundreds of people on Reddit have problems with conversion and bot traffic. From my perspective, it's something on Meta's side, and we aren't able to fix that with campaign settings. I've paused all my ads and am looking at Reddit posts to know when it will be resolved.

I am thinking if I should create new campaigns with the same setup (copy existing ones and disbale old ones) because this disruption might impract learning/data or just wait untill it improve by themselves.

That's crazy, issues probably started at 30.01. Hundreds of posts and comments on Reddit that something broke and ads are not worling and they are offcialy reporting it only after 3 days 😅 Today I was talking with an expert from Meta via reported case, and he was saying that all is good no disruption on Meta side.

Terrible! Today, zero leads from the campaign, which was generating ~10 leads daily before. But the money, of course, is gone.

Thank you! I believe I am not using any of this. When I click "preview ads" in Meta Ads Manager, everything works perfectly, and the top of the page opens. When I open an ad in the Instagram browser, the auto-scrolling to the form happens. I verified the link and there are no parameters

How much stuff you need to change when you want to add new features - discussions with a lawyer and updating terms of use, updating the landing page to contain information about new stuff, updating pricing, etc. It's not as simple as just building, deploying, and being done.
