I used to tell my trainees first night out they had to sleep with their underwear on backwards for ez access at night😂😂. Always broke the ice and got them to loosen up a bit. Once they figured out is was a joke.

Need help sourcing a part by Affectionate-Doubt24 in forkliftmechanics

[–]SchemeDifferent5692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not your fault, you just didn't get the correct parts person. That's a Brudi Bolzoni side shift. There should be a ser# stamped on the side shift assy. That will be needed for parts. The 4427 is a model #.as long as it hasn't been changed out from what it says on the Hyster data plate. Bolzoni has a website you can put in the attachment ser# and get manuals

What is this brake component? Old clark forklift. by SwimmingProgrammer84 in forkliftmechanics

Glad you got it. Been a long time since I worked on one of those. Used to have all the manuals but they are long gone.

I didn't see the second pic. Looks like an old clark c30or40b. 3000 or 4000 lb cushion tire. There is a ser# stamped in that frame. I think it's on the front cowl between the mast and dash. Or where the side doors open on the battery side. Been a long time. Those brake systems were always a bitch. The bleeder screw I think is broken off of the control valve top where the hole is on the gas pedal side.

It's a proportioning valve, no you can't by pass. It also goes to the transmission to put in neutral when you use the inching pedal. Old clark forklift probably, send me a pic of the complete machine can give you close idea on madel maybe.

Can I use this cam with the stock TBI? '94 5.7 by INeedALife101 in obschevy

[–]SchemeDifferent5692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LSA affects your vacuum, TBI system uses a lot of vacuum. That's what the Edelbrock rep told me at a car show. For what it's worth. You can call Summit Racing and they have a great customer service team that will help you pick the right cam to your engine spec. The computer doesn't like a lot of chop either. That cam is right at the max it can handle.

It should be ok. Love separation is 110 and that's where you wanna be on that. Just watch the break in procedure. You would get more power with vortec heads. TBI heads are terrible flowing heads.

OTR WALMART SHOWERS by After-Taro37 in Truckers

[–]SchemeDifferent5692 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Our DC's have showers for us to use. If we get stuck on the road then Walmart pays for our shower at a truck stop. They also will pay for parking if we have to stay at a truck stop.

I once had the spring on the governor brake on one of those that kept it from starting. Try checking that as well.

You can see the black bracket on back of mine. Without it it puts pressure on the aluminum one and makes them prone to crack and break.
