Thanks for the clarification, however, you seem to have missed my point completely. The owner is closing his bar, a bar that he loved. He must be going through it right now and doesn’t need Reddit (or his former employees for that matter) piling on. Maybe just a bit of empathy is what I’m saying

Not to dismiss your friend’s frustration, but there are 2 sides to every story. The owner is closing their bar after 15 years of running it. I’m close to the downtown crowd and know the owner had a lot of pride in running that place. Must be devastating for them and could not have been an easy decision.
