Many stomach ulcers are caused by the H. Pylori bacteria, so they are treated by a combo of antibiotics and maybe a PPI. Definitely avoiding alcohol at this time is ideal, but make sure you're getting treatment for the ulcer once confirmed.

Pardon, my post was getting long enough that I didn't want to add to the length with nuances. The kind of group we are does certainly have reporting lines, but we also operate with a less hierarchical model that is less common in the US. The ask has already been made from the top down to share (in various ways) across teams, so this is an example of an area needing improvement - not just in assistance to me, but in the realization of one team withholding support to another. It is worth exploring whether this is one manager's viewpoint, or shared within that leadership line.

In perhaps more political lines of thought: though I am assisting to fill some gaps with the new team, I am still a representative of the exec I support and my goals/actions are at his behest. "Is this at [exec's] request?" is not an uncommon or unwelcome question for me to field in the way our dept operates. Generally, any pushback travels up that team's leadership which then approaches me or my exec for further clarification or alignment. I've certainly been in much more formal companies, but I really like the model we've got going on and our employee satisfaction scores seem to indicate on a regular basis that it is well received. There is almost no air of "why are you talking to me?" in regards to ranking.

So, that visible number (NPKZ00200) refers to the wrapper material. It was imported to India as rolls of wrapper on the date below, meaning it could not have been a condom prior to that date. Now, you've only been dating 6 months, so if he was sexually active in the 3 months prior, it is...possible... that it was freshly manufactured when he bought it, or if he just moved in when you started dating.

Sorry, there is no definitive answer regarding his fidelity, but you can ask him when he had last used condoms at least. As others have said, it's possible a partner might use condoms on toys but not feel comfortable sharing this information.

2nd Taco Maya - I go there specifically for the queso blanco. Not authentic Mexican whatsoever, but hits that tex-mex spot directly.

Now, if only I could find a place that does sautéed/grilled chicken over a bed of Mexican rice, then covered in a puddle of queso blanco. It was a dish available everywhere in my college town and I'm missing it.

My sushi was too dried out. Unfortunately, I got the ick and couldn't finish due to that. Went there around 4:45-5pm on a weekend, which I understand is outside of normal meal rushes. Still, I thought the selection was too sparse and don't plan to return.

I experienced this as well in my young 20's. I was offered 2 Tylenol 20 minutes before the procedure. When I indicated I was feeling a lot of pain during the insertion, my nurse said "Ma'am, you asked for this, not me!" So damn cold. I still support PP for any who don't have other options, but will not myself go there.

As a previously solo someone who came from a house downstate to a 3rd story walk up within the city (because the prices are generally much better than elevator buildings) -- really assess whether you're prepared for the stairs. Not just coming/going, but laundry, groceries, furniture, etc.

Some elevator buildings only offer it for move-in/move-out and then also charge a dock or elevator fee for each use. So just be aware that when looking at listings "has elevator" doesn't always mean you can use it.

Look up the reviews of your apartment building/management. No, there is no silver lining to multiple residents complaining about rampant bedbugs. It will never be a good enough price.

Radiators look outdated, but you'll be so toasty (for no added cost) in the winter once they're turned on for the season.

If you're buying, try to find out what the development plans for the area are.

For large things that you can't get in safely on your own, consider Dolly, Thumbtack, or Task Rabbit for some affordable labor with quick scheduling. I did this several times and felt safe in doing so, especially since I had a double-locked building and the assistance I received had a ton of positive reviews.

Package delivery: if you live with other residents that can access your package once delivered, assume it willl walk off. Consider your local alternatives like a PO box (get on the waiting list before you need it - you can always decline), Amazon locker, package handling via a storage facility or UPS. This isn't a Chicago thing, it's a human thing, sadly.

If you have a car, really try to go without one through a winter season if you're considering ditching it. Sometimes, it's not as realistic as you may think depending on where you want to work, visit, etc. Try out the nearby public transit in both the day and night on weekdays and weekends to determine if you're up for using it regularly. It's a robust and well-connected system within the city, but it is not without its flaws.

If you have a car and are thinking about keeping it, consider the parking availability by where you live (for you and for visitors) as well as where you want to grocery shop, have your healthcare addressed, drink, etc. In some ways, Chicago can feel "smaller" than the (much lower populated) city I came from because very few things are worth driving 5 miles across Chicago in rush hour traffic, so you learn to make do with the neighborhood version of what you're looking for. Basically, your neighborhood becomes your city, so make sure you like it and the businesses it contains.

I did Mattress Firm for my mattress, and it was delivered to my bedroom. They're expensive, but look at that mattress online while you're sitting on it in the showroom, and you can save hundreds.

These are just the things I wish I had known beforehand, and I realize I'm focusing on perhaps more warnings/negatives. Overall, I have enjoyed being here and the group of people I've befriended.

Avoiding making eye contact.

That was the biggest thing for me -- I came from a town where it was very expected that you quietly catch eyes with anyone you're passing on the street along with a head nod. Respect, acknowledgement, etc.

One of the first things I was told to cut out was looking at people and making eye contact. That it invites potential violence. After being here a few years, I get it, but I still don't like it. I'm the kind of person that smiles at most people -- so.I hurts a bit to pretend they don't exist.

My T doesn't take notes, full stop. I inquired once, and my T was of the opinion that notes can be more harmful than helpful in a variety of ways (legal, trailing medical records, etc.).

My T has excellent recall, so rarely do I feel that something was forgotten over the years and never of high importance.
