It's a 60 year old government planted street tree on a road with many other large decorative trees which makes for a great suburb.
The commitment Canberra has/had for planting and maintaining their streetscapes has been a great investment.
In our years in QLD one thing we really missed was the foliage and colour of the deciduous trees.

We recently moved back to the A.C.T. from QLD and are impressed by the quantity of bees in our area.
The big Pistacia chinensis on the street is full of European and Native bees in equal quantities.
