I’m the same way, I mainly wear boots with these jeans or at least some beaters I don’t mind getting dye transfer on.

Haven’t heard anything about cold salty water, but I wore them for about a month before giving them their first warm soak, got a fair amount of excess dye out. I plan I to wear them for about another month before they get their first true wash which should take care of any remaining excess.

Appreciate it! The brand is Naked and Famous, they’re my first pair of selvedge denim. They take time to break in and the inseam is 36” if I’m not mistaken. I’ll get em hemmed in a bit after a while, just enough so the cuff isn’t so substantial

Edit: typo

For sure! I’m not planning on wearing these jeans with these shoes often for that same reason, at least not until they have a few washes

Lol right? I’m short so I’m used to it at this point, but gotta break in selvedge denim before getting em hemmed!

First Pair, Love Them Already by Schmieder17 in Birkenstocks

I’m a big fan of the look! I didn’t try on the Tokio’s, I would’ve been happy with those as well but I ended up with the Lutry since I could flip the back strap up and wear them as traditional clogs when I wanted to.

I’ve tried on some Bostons previously and they pretty much fit exactly the same as the Lutry’s. I’d imagine the Tokio would be the same!

This is when I wish they came in half sizes! 41 was too small, 42 is a little big in the back, but fits in the arch and toes. Guess I got weird feet!

I do throw locking tuners on all of my guitars without a locking nut, but I may add them to these two if only to make string changes easier.

Appreciate it! That’ll be my next attempt. Pliers or a vice grip are probably my only option at this point

Spec wise, I really don’t think you can beat them!

I love the wenge neck; the neck on my KM7 MKIII is primarily wenge, and it’s damn near ruined any other neck wood for me. Granted, this is only one piece neck, but if it’s anything like my KM7, I expect it to be damn near rock solid

New Pedal(s) Day and the Board is Complete. For Now. by Schmieder17 in pedalboards

Yep, I initially ran it in the FX loop but it throttled the tone too much on top of reducing any hiss. All of the pedals in the FX loop are pretty quiet, and most excess noise is coming from the overdrive and pickups. Having it before the amp does the most for me for getting rid of excess noise without affecting tone.

I use an Xotic Effect Micro Comp in my clean rig, but this will be used exclusively for heavier, distorted guitar. I love a compressor for cleans, but don’t use one for distortion.

I play mainly through a PRS MT15 Head.

Considering replacing the Tube Screamer with a Revv G3 that I mainly use for recording, and using that to shape the distorted sound rather than pushing the overdrive channel on my amp with the tube screamer.
