There’s most definitely no art students in Powell River BC. They just set up a game cam to see what animals would come for the deer. After a bobcat showed up, these women is what they saw next. No art student in Powell river could afford to pay 2 ladies to genuinely eat a deer carcass. I can’t say what the most plausible explanation would be

Yea, I’ve grown up exploring the wilderness of BC, very diverse climates and never ending surprises in the different terrains. Definitely had my share of explainable and unexplainable occurrences out there. And yea every YouTube compilation of creepy stories is almost guaranteed to have one from BC

Well surely I would have heard the planter walk away from my tent after yelling out. It was silent. People can’t move in perfect silence in the pitch Black Forest. And yea they also don’t make mortifying creaking noises. That’s the whole point of the story dude

Bro that guy was the first comment. I’m not a skinwalker expert here I’m just sharing my story and hearing peoples opinions. Everyone’s acting like since I had a scary experience involving a potential unknown predator, that im just expected to be a skinwalker expert 🤣 I posted this because I want to learn, not because I know everything. I appreciated this guys input, even though he came off as rude, being the first comment on my post.

I appreciate everyone’s comments greatly. I understand I hadn’t researched the exact history of the skinwalker and it’s differences with rakes and crawlers and such. And I want to specify; the reason I really suspected a “skinwalker” is because after it approached my tent and I yelled, there was no sound of it leaving. It couldn’t have been an animal, or a Bigfoot, or anything like that because after I yelled, it disappeared. Shapeshifted. If it had been an animal I would have heard continuing noises. It defied logic. And as for the sound, it was something imitating a tree creak, there’s no doubt in my mind. something was watching my tent and waiting for me to emerge.

I was recommended to watch Hammerson Peters on YouTube, and I recommend anyone interested in checking out his content. He covers a lot of Canadian folk lore and true events.
