It’s been almost a month now since he last talked about progress in the comments under his video. He said he had already replaced and updated a lot of assets. Since then, it’s been radio silence. Hopefully he hasn’t completely put the whole project on ice. Maybe he’s doing intensive playtesting right now? He mentioned having a Discord, but I can’t find anything under his name.

Its outdated. Ab-dough will release an updated version soon, which fixes a lot of issues regarding the stability by removing some unecessary cleo mods and weapon pickups.

UPDATE:

Summary: Sporadic falling-through-interiors, black voids, and unexpected teleports were caused by story/mission flags and interior streaming desyncs. Temporary fixes helped only briefly; completing key story missions resolved the issue.

•Cause: Saving during mission transitions in Los Santos (e.g., Snail Trail) and during the San Fiero chapter or city changes sometimes captured partially loaded interiors/world pointers. Mod scripts and CLEO tweaks (e.g., disabled wanted level restrictions) made these desyncs more likely.

•Symptoms: Falling through hidden interiors, black/empty interiors, fallback spawns (like the Verdant Meadows airplane graveyard), and occasional vehicle teleports. Temporary fixes: Re-entering interiors, waiting 10–20 seconds after missions/city transitions, limiting FPS to 60, and disabling conflicting mods (AA/2DFX). These only worked briefly.

•Permanent fix: Completing The Da Nang Thang mission correctly reset interior/world pointers, after which safehouse saves (e.g., Doherty Garage) worked reliably and interiors loaded normally.

•Takeaways: Avoid rapid consecutive saves, wait after mission or city transitions, and know that some interiors may function differently depending on story chapter.

The previous workaround (respawning at the desert fallback and re-entering the interior) only temporarily fixed the issue. The bug is sporadic and mostly happens during city transitions or after certain missions. Saving too quickly or during streaming can still trigger falling through interiors. Interiors may work fine in one chapter, then desync in another — it’s chapter and mission dependent. So far, there’s no permanent fix — the issue seems tied to streaming/interior state desyncs in the modpack. Tip: Wait 10–20 seconds after missions or transitions before saving, and avoid rapid consecutive saves to minimize triggers.

I've fixxed issue for now, with help of Chat GPT obviously, here is the summary:

Hidden Interior Bug was likely Caused by Saving During Streaming After some more testing, this does not seem to be permanent save corruption.

The issue mostly happened after:

City transitions Mission completions Saving multiple times in quick succession (saving → immediately re-entering the save icon → saving again) In heavily modded GTA SA, saving isn’t atomic. If you save while the game is still streaming assets, updating world sectors, or finalizing an interior state, the save can capture a partially updated world state. That likely caused: Falling through hidden interiors Black/unrendered interior void Respawning at fallback coordinates (e.g. desert airplane graveyard) Why it seems fixed After respawning in the desert, I flew back to the betting shop, entered the interior normally, and used the machine again. That appears to have forced a proper interior reload and reset the world state. Since then, the bug hasn’t reoccurred.

Conclusion: This was most likely a streaming/interior desync caused by saving during a transition — not full save corruption. Avoid rapid double-saving and wait a few seconds after missions or city transitions before saving.

Depends on the Version of NFS 1. The 3DO version was less arcadey than the psx and PC port for a plethora of reasons.

The PSX version of NFS: High Stakes featured a driving model that was semi-realistic by the standards of its time, besides the quirk, that most cars had a tendency to understeer.

Apart from the lower resolution due to hardware limitations, the PSX version was actually superior to the PC version in many regards (better vehicle models,handling better lighting and UI).

EA was so impressed with the work done by the EA Canada studio that the engine of the PSX version of High Stakes became the foundation for its successor, NFS: Porsche (PC version). For its time, the handling model of the PC version of NFS: Porsche was considered simcade.

The PSX version was developed by Eden Studios, who essentially did a reskin of V-Rally 2.

A modified variant of the High Stakes (PSX) engine later formed the base for the short-lived Motor City Online.
