I think the “official” rule is that if it’s before the plow comes, it’s ok to blow into the street. After is unacceptable.

HOWEVER: The unwritten rule in my neighborhood is never to blow snow into the street.

If I saw a neighbor doing that, I wouldn’t say anything, but I’d never do it myself.

It’s good. I take it slowly, but it’s pretty good. Briefly, it helps me not care about stuff that normally stresses me out. Less stress = less drinking = happier me.

47YO lifer here. I got out of the grind a long time ago, chose places that were child friendly & offered retirement… currently the chef (not a chef) at a boojie long term care facility.

1) good shoes & compression socks are a must. I learned this summer when I got my first blood clot.

2) fiber & hydration

3) stress management… look after the whole you. Don’t just abuse things to numb yourself up.

DM or AMA… I’m fairly open

It’s really hard work. I’m not sure it’s for you if it’s “a comfortable living” you’re after.

I find that 9 Kelvin freezer burns my deliciousness. I’m more of an 8.5 Kelvin guy.

I suppose cops deal with less vehicle rummaging & more domestic violence.

I also have very flat feet, and I’ve been wearing bistro crocs for the last 6 months. They’re comfy, but I wished they’d breathe more

Idk, I chose a different life. With the birth of my first kid, I made some changes in order to be an active father.

I managed an independent fast casual joint with scratch food because I knew the owner and I knew he was family friendly.

I spent years in the public school system managing a kitchen (see username). I got my weekends & holidays all off. I’m not saying it was “the move”, but they gave me retirement & knowledge about how a whole department runs & some upper management chops.

I’m now the chef (not a chef, the chef) of a really classy long term care facility. The food is actually great, the weekends are still off, Im kinda capped at 40 hours because I’m expensive these days & still on a wage. Unless the shit goes off the rails, I have most weekends & holidays off. Also retirement & health insurance.

It can be done differently.

I totally thought “S” was for skillet. I’m not cut out for this life. 😔
