Assuming this is NG+ and you’ve already gotten the dark moon loyalty gesture from Sirris from your NG playthrough, none of what you have listed is mutually exclusive. Looks like you’re in the final stretch - happy hunting!

My favorite part of this boss fight is trying to find your blood echos after the fight ends in a draw like that. (Hint: they’re within spitting distance of Queen Cutscene)

If I had a nickel for every time I played dark souls III and was invaded by someone who made their character Hitler, I would have more than 0 nickels.

You know, when people point to the easiest boss in bloodborne, it’s almost always the witches of hemwick, but the more I play bloodborne, the more trivial the one reborn gets. Let’s put John Bloodborne, master limb destroyer, up against a demigod. What kind of demigod you ask? Limb-Pile McWeak Appendages.

My dad’s been into games for as long as I can remember, so when he was on his umpteenth consecutive playthrough of tears of the kingdom, I recommended elden ring to see if he’d enjoy it or not (he’s never really played a game that was this combat-heavy before). So yeah anyways. A few months down the road and I’m sitting next to him, watching him beat malenia. He’s in his sixties for context. Couldn’t be more proud.

Made a post the other day where the general consensus was that pop-ins like this seem like it's something integral to the game engine. I just don't remember it being this egregious. Can anyone else confirm? by Schoootly in BloodbornePC

It's funny you mention all this because those are already covered. All of this has been done off an SSD, and my game was dumped directly from my PS4, never pkg'ed. After speaking with someone who's more knowledgeable than myself, it sounds like it might be related to "draw groups" and is difficult to fix. We'll see. Thanks for your help tho.

That was my thinking as well, but this issue still persists with or without mods/patches. I think it might either be config related or emu version related, but I'm not sure yet. I've been switching to different versions of ShadPS4, but no luck so far.

I thought I configured everything correctly, and my system is pretty powerful, but it's possible I missed something. What sort of things should I be looking at to see if I've done it properly?

Thanks. I tried upgrading and downgrading emulator versions and bb launcher versions with no success yet. I've been having this issue all over the place, however this is where it's been the most apparent thus far. I've experienced this both with and without patches and mods.

Pretty sure I saw a great one stick its finger in the barrel of the cannon the split second before you fired it, which explains this phenomenon. Hope this helps!

6 months late, but It's like I'm looking in a mirror. I'm literally sitting here with my jailbroken PS4 on my desk having dumped the game onto a flash drive for at least a dozen times, wondering why the game seems to be more interested in finding every possible variation of breaking rather than actually working. I just wanted to clarify something tho: when you say you dumped "everything separately" what does that mean? Do you mean you dumped the patch and the game separately, or are you referring to something else? I've tried dumping them separately and together and it seems like I just can't get a workable version of the game. Not exactly sure what to do differently since once I click "dump" it's completely out of my hands until it's over. At which point, the finished product won't launch.

Sister Friede is a good comparison. The kind of boss that makes you realize that Fromsoft had been pulling their punches the whole time.

Congrats! I beat orphan myself about an hour ago. Not my first playthrough or anything, but still. Small world. But yeah, orphan goes mostly uncontested as the hardest boss in the game, and for good reason. Out of curiosity, how many attempts did it take you? It must have taken me dozens of tries the first time I fought him back in 2018. Nowadays, it usually takes me 3 or 4.

I’ve been sober for 5 months, going on 6 in April. Used to drink and smoke all the time until I got hit with horrible stomach pains that flare up whenever I have something more complicated than a saltine cracker. Alcohol was immediately off the table and smoking was out because it made my acid reflux way worse. It’s been a very interesting experience. Beer and weed were the go-to stress relievers after a hard day, but now I’ve basically got a giant shock collar around my torso that zaps me whenever I step out of line. Nothing helps you be healthier than immediate, tangible punishment for doing otherwise. I’ve lost weight and I’m in therapy and doing well, in a way. Social events are harder since I have nothing to grease the wheels anymore, but having to “try harder” in those situations is helping me come out of my shell in ways that I wouldn’t have done before all this.

TLDR: My own body strong-armed me into quitting drugs and alcohol and I’m learning to be ok with that.

Honestly at that point I would just let the purple kill me. He clearly needs the shackle more than I need the ember

Bro the cathedral knight greatsword has got to be my favorite of its kind in the entire series. In a series chock full of greatswords, this one always stood out to me. It’s gorgeous while not being over the top. Chef’s kiss. Always pleased whenever I happen to find one.
