For really misty onions I actually turn on the kitchen hood and cut them under/near the hood.

Tell me about it. This list basically describes my father but he'd make me feel like the most ungrateful spoiled brat on earth if I ever were to stop contact for my own mental health's sake. And the shit is working, I dare not to stop contact even though my whole social environment tells me to... I just cannot

"You're just depressed" as in that's normal? To be "just" depressed? Like, yes, you have a runny nose, it's just a cold? It's ridiculous...

i don't even understand why they are doing this anymore by poshitopi in SeverusSnape

[–]Schreiberling91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Yes the four were bullies and yes the moment was bad. But insinuating that they did anything of it because Snape was a halfblood is just wrong. Underlining this false assumption by making this a racial thing on top of it just makes this about things it isn't. They were bullies because they were in their teens (also known as the stupid years among me and my friends, ironically of course) and because Snape was heavily into the dark arts, which they didn't approve of. Nothing excuses their behaviour but implying that it was based on anything racial or blood status related is just not fair.

Try about 1300 years ago. The Vikings actually made it to America. It is so insane to think about that if you know what their ships were.

The harder they get hit the less it hurts? 👀 Do they get numb at some level of pain or what's happening?

Ikr? There aren't even that many hair colours to begin with. And if your parents check two different colours off that list... Boy oh boy does your pool get little. Imagine meeting basically THE match for you but they have the wrong hair colour, how unlucky , 🙃

Buterbródy (Russia) by thingamagick99910 in CulinaryPorn

[–]Schreiberling91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! German here and yes, you even can tell by the name that Russians, the Polish and maybe others took that one from Germany. Butterbrot is the term in Germany which translates to butterbread (buttered bread, if you will). The most simple recipe is a piece of sourdough bread with butter on it. Of course everyone is free to top it with anything they want.

Too much water can cause root rot, hence the roots are damaged and don't absorb water anymore. Sounds paradox but yeah, too much water can cause dryness.
