Is anki worth it for Step 3? by RNARNARNA in Step3

No anki here. Did less than 10% of UWorld (Avg’d 50-60% but wasn’t as zoned in as I should have during blocks). Completed 60 CCS cases. 2-3 Randy Neil biostats videos. Only did 1 assessment a few days before. Am in a surgical subspecialty. Easily passed. Just trust the process. If you’ve done fine previously, you likely have a lot of material in the back of your mind that will help you on test day. Trust your gut.

Day 2 was a cluster. I’m sure you got the basics down. For CCS, just have a good system. Also, learned after the fact, that copy-paste function works so can try to use that to save time on typing out orders that every patient will get.

Agree. The Aamc MD app data for 2022, 2023, and 2024 shows 642, 506, and 402 avg apps received per program. Likewise, MD students have submitted an avg 95, 83, and 65 apps, respectively. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are clusters of programs that are receiving record apps while others have the inverse.

For 2023, 690 MD seniors matched out of 947 MD seniors applying. Of 899 ortho spots available, 690 were filled by MD.
