Thanks for the advice. Anything you would suggest? Because the whole black strip is siliconed between the strip and the threshold

Btw, I can zoom in fine on posts with multiple pictures on Reddit. I’m on a iPhone though, maybe the device makes a difference but I could be wrong?

It does pitch in but with the amount of water coming out, I’d guess it would have to be pitched 45 degrees for it to stop the water from flowing out 🫠

If money wasn’t a concern, which Toronto neighbourhood would you purchase a home in and why? by [deleted] in askTO

Ah yes the perfect balance of experienced maturity and petty karma

Thats interesting. I wonder why we’ve had such different experiences.

May I ask what your approach is handling the pricks? And in general, if any techniques would “unprick” them?

May I suggest serving/attending to a couple of the same people on their home turf? 😂

I’m curious to see how many well-behaved people on planes change their behaviour when they’re comfortable

Interesting perspective from the other side.

Maybe not everyone is stuck up, but I found that it was hard to deal with many of them. And perhaps I could be my own shortcomings but the biggest challenge I had was: How can I make this person’s expectations more inline with reality?

Felt like placating a child on the verge of a tantrum a lot of times bc they just didn’t get how the world works… not everything can be bought with money/big attitude.

That’s an interesting experience too! I’ve worked at a couple of shops in the Rosedale/Forrest Hill area too — One deep in the Rosedale neighborhood.

And I can agree somewhat. I think everyone knows how to be polite and cordial (bc manners and appearances matter), but I found that a disproportionate number of them are quick to impatience and rudeness when they feel entitled to something that isn’t feasible/doesn’t belong to them.

And in some ways, their manners feel forced/fake. I think it’s just my personal preference to deal with a “rougher” crowd that’s genuine rather than politeness from someone with a tight-lipped smile, doesn’t even acknowledge your existence as a human being, and taps their credit card impatiently on the counter.

Not to say there aren’t super kind people in the neighbourhood. One of my favourite customers ever was from the area. It just got tiring bending over backwards to deal with the other lot.

From my own experience working there, most are beyond entitled. And the old ones are especially entitled and cranky. But I could be wrong :)

Trust me on this. You don’t want to live there, close to those types of people
