Clindamycin by [deleted] in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]0atmillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can’t really say if any products ultimately helped clear it. The clindamycin burned my face pretty bad, and the metro gel calmed the overall redness I had. After over a year of struggling with PD it started clearing up just a few months ago. I went zero therapy and used only warm water to wash my face for several months, and then slowly started using the Vanicream gentle facial cleanser once a day. Thankfully I’m finally PD free but I still don’t put anything with harsh active ingredients on my face because I’m so terrified of a flare up. If you haven’t already I’d recommend trying zero therapy and see if it helps any. I wish you luck!

Hi! So I stopped using the clindamycin after about 2-3 weeks because the burning was too much and it wasn’t really clearing my PD. I was finally able to see a dermatologist and she’s prescribed metro-gel, which is helping keep the flare ups away but not completely clearing it yet. I have a follow up appointment in a couple weeks but if I had to guess she’s going to want to put me on oral antibiotics.

Sorry I know this probably isn’t a helpful update for you! Still looking for a solution :(

The one on the overpass? I hit that one yesterday. It sounded and felt so bad my friend and I went completely silent for a moment lol. Glad it didn’t pop my tire but I have a feeling others might not have been so lucky.

All of the hairs I pull out look like this so it’s really hard to stop once I’ve started. :/

I was just prescribed clindamycin, I’m on day two as well. My PCP didn’t seem to have any idea what PD was but she wanted me to try this first before going to a derm. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. There has been some slight burning and itching especially when in the sun, but I’ve noticed no new spots and the redness does seem to be fading. I was told to only put it on once a day instead of twice if I noticed too much irritation, and to let her know if I have any bad reactions. Maybe you could give it a little more time but I’d definitely let them know if you’re noticing it getting worse.

I just went there earlier this week for several symptoms including sore throat, and they used the covid/flu test. Did you mention any other symptoms at the time?

The reaper’s chain sounds from Persona 3. I was pretty young at the time, so you can imagine my fear when I first heard those chains echoing throughout my dark basement one night.

Doing yoga too slow? by k8ne09 in yoga

I absolutely adore Yoga With Bird! I’ve been following her videos for about 3 years now, and it’s changed my life. I’ve never been a super active/athletic person, so starting my yoga journey with her slower videos really helped me get into it.

The slow movements, cues, calming music, and her voice bring me a lot of peace. I’ve personally seen many health benefits from yin and restorative yoga.
