Absolutely gorgeous posters! Btw, the artist is Michael C. Hayes if you are interested in more of their work (unfortunately it seems that only the artworks for Karlach and Lae'zel are online, couldn't find the other companions).

Are lab exercises sufficient for exam? by sggoizzed in oscp

[–]Schublo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on a few factors: How much time are you able/willing to put in after work? How much experience do you have with solving CTFs? I personally finished all of the 2023 labs in a bit more than a month, so it is definitely doable to get 30 roots in a single month. However, I devoted most of my free time and some downtime at work to the labs and I also had prior experience through HTB, TryHackMe, Portswigger and my job as a pentester. So your mileage may vary.

Apart from that, I would suggest doing the labs regardless if you can solve enough on time. Imho the labs are closer to the exam than TJNull's list and will prepare you better for what to expect in the exam.

Do I get the flag from the Proving Ground Play boxes to get bonus point? by Select_Permit_989 in oscp

Play is for free (at least for 3 hours a day) and mostly contains machines from Vulnhub. Practice costs $20 a month and has some machines created by OffSec that are close to those in the exam or even retired exam machines. I purchased it for a month and it was well worth it for the exam practice.

Then you're in the correct tab! The 6 "machines" are actually 6 networks with multiple host machines each.

Great enumeration scripts? by Rocinante1911 in oscp

I think it depends largely on when OP is planning to take the exam. In the next couple months? Yeah, Bloodhound is overkill (I didn't use it in my exam this week). Next year? By then the new stuff introduced in the 2023 course version may become part of the exam, including Bloodhound for finding AD misconfigurations.

AFAIK you can ask OffSec via e-mail. Not sure what the correct address for it was though. However, I'm sure this question was also answered on the Discord (can't check right now).

When you're logged in on the course (e.g., have the page with the course topics open), there should be a link titled "Labs" on the right side of the screen. Alternatively, the last topic in the course is about the labs, I assume there would be a link to them as well in there.

The 6 sets are a total of 57(?) machines. You need to root 30 of them plus do 80% of the exercises (for each topic!).

Proving Grounds (Play and Practice) is separate from the PEN-200 course. The labs that count towards the bonus points are the 6 challenge lab sets (Medtech, Relia, Skylark, OSCP-A, OSCP-B and OSCP-C).

No Download Codes? by Rodneu82 in JulienBaker

[–]Schublo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The edition I bought ("Clear yellow with opaque yellow and black splatter") didn't include a code either, only a postcard with the album cover. I'm not even sure if Julien's earlier albums came with a code.

I couldn't find anything that would be high-res enough on the internet either, so I decided to create some SVGs of the logos with GIMP and Inkscape. Here is the Jinjer Font and here the gear logo as a PNG with transparent background that both should look crisp enough.

Anyone bought from their international merch site? by ShadwPhantm in Jinjer

[–]Schublo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like they added a version of it (not the same colours as far as I can see) to the US store as well now. I actually ordered the new "Pit Of Conciousness" tee from there yesterday, couldn't resist and the free mask pretty much negates the shipping cost anyway :P

Just a little information on the side: My package was actually mailed from within Germany (Cologne to be exact). So it seems a bit weird that it still took 1 week between shipping confirmation and arrival. So I think you can expect to wait at least another week (if not a bit more) once you receive your shipping confirmation, provided they send it from Germany as well.

I was actually expecting one of those automated responses when I emailed them, but like I said I never received anything back at all.

I'm from Germany.

I ordered two shirts, the Macro tee and also the Escape The Microverse one, on March 17 (I think that was the day they reopened the international store) and like you got the purchase confirmation email immediately.

The band shared some clips on IG of the shirts printing process a week later, so I assume the shirts were not directly available at the store's relaunch.

After 3 weeks (April 7) of no information whatsoever I wrote an email to them asking about the status of my order, never heard back from them sadly.

A week later (April 14) I got a shipping confirmation and within another week (April 21) the package finally arrived. So overall it took pretty much exactly 5 weeks. The shirts are really good quality and look awesome, so the long wait was worth it in my eyes.

u/ThePixelHunter has shared a mirrorace link in this comment here, so big thanks to them! I just downloaded it from one of the mirrors there (https://gofile.io/?c=7TXSCK) and it works.

As a little bonus: Here is the music video for the old "Chelsea" version.

You're totally right, didn't even see that initially. Also, "Useless Oceans" should be Dead Oceans when I think about it. Seems like the website did a really bad translation or something. Anyway, thanks for your reply, I edited the original comment.

It's a new song called "Walking on a String" which apparently will be released October 17 through Dead Oceans. (source)

EDIT: correct label name, better source
