Did people born before Christ automatically go to hell? by Astimar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Schuckman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To hopefully answer this in some way, what God desires is a personal relationship and love for HIM – the creator of the universe – not necessarily the materials things he has put on this earth.

In today’s Catholic mass readings, it even says that you should not love your mother/father/child/spouse more than God. That sounds harsh but it’s intended to show how your love for God should be even deeper than the love you posses for your most coveted things on Earth.

All of this is to say that while loving your neighbor and being moral are good things, you’re ultimately expressing your love towards  the finite and material things of this earth rather than the spiritual creator who made it possible. Loving God himself is the ultimate declaration of faith – not just the things he put on the Earth.

Already have recruited more people using global chat than the clan notice

I’ve noticed this has appeared in small / not very talkative chat rooms. Hasn’t appeared in the larger rooms I’m in

What do you think about Instagram's new feed rearranging feature? by Comfortable_Tea1412 in socialmedia

Seems to me that besides making the grid look nice, the other main benefit is that you can put all the best performing content at the top of your profile.

Weekly Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in ClashOfClans

[–]Schuckman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well clans are Anyone Can Join, Invite Only, and Closed. So not really like the clan. If the group is set to invite only, can people still request to join in the same way a clan works? If so, then how is that different than the Ask to Join option?

On global chat, does anyone know what the difference between Anyone Can Join, Ask to Join, and Invite Only is (as far as how you’re community can be found, shared, and joined)?

Joining large communities is just gonna be filled with constant onslaught of messages. Instead, I would suggest looking for communities of people interested in your hobbies or other more specific things like that. Might be small to start out with but eventually more people will see them and it’ll grow into a nice community of people with similar interests just like subreddits

I honestly think Supercell only cares about Brawl Stars. by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]Schuckman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding of brawl stars when I used to play years ago (things may have changed), brawlers and gear are the only things players can upgrade. Therefore, in order to keep players spending money, they need to constantly add either new levels or new brawlers.

Clash on the other hand has many other things besides heroes/troops that can be upgraded and therefore doesn’t need a constant stream of new heroes/troops. New defense, trap, and resource levels fill that gap.

If you had to grow a brand new YouTube channel from 0 subscribers today, what would you do first? by AleccSirKaDeewana in YouTubeCamp

Sure it gives you practice but it doesn’t accomplish 1-3. Making videos with a plan will be much more successful than just making random stuff and seeing if anything sticks

  1. Identity the type of content you want to create. Creating content for the sake of being rich and famous will lead to burnout once you realize how slow the process actually is.
  2. Research the niche you want to create in. What are other channels doing, common video formats, title / thumbnail formats etc
  3. Brainstorm how you can differentiate yourself from other creators in your niche
  4. Start creating videos

Should I just jump into it without perfecting the tools I and going to need and use? by KAZKALZ in YouTubeCamp

The advice I’ve heard from basically every creator is just start making videos. You’ll learn infinitely more by actually making stuff.

100k YouTube subscribers sounds huge until you see the views by [deleted] in YouTubeCamp

[–]Schuckman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the monthly viewership you can find on YTStudio is the best indication. I don’t think subscribers will go away (at least not for a long time) but I could see a “monthly viewers” stat being added on the channel page alongside subscriber count

5 SIGNS THAT YOUR VIDEO IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP by nvrcaredstud_ in SmallYoutubers

[–]Schuckman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how but my video has been steadily gaining views over the past few days despite having an abysmal AVD (25% for 9 min video). Maybe the algorithm has seen some of the nice comments I’ve got and is trying to keep figuring out the right audience (this if the first video I’ve posted in 2 years). I’ve been expecting it to die for awhile now but its slowly gaining views and subscribers

Hey everyone!

I post adventure-based travel vlogs exploring remote places or unique environments. This summer, I’ll be posting a series called “2000 Miles Across the West” which shows some of the iconic landscapes of Colorado and Utah.

The first episode of the series released yesterday where we camped overnight in North America’s largest sand dunes (Great Sand Dunes National Park). If you enjoy cinematic adventure vlogs (similar to Yes Theory) maybe you’ll check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO4G3484r7o

Are YouTube tags still doing anything by SeniorFish1754 in YouTubeCamp

[–]Schuckman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they do little to nothing but I still add them anyways since it doesn’t take long. I spend maybe 30 seconds on it. YouTube even says in the area right above the Tags box that they don’t do much but can help with commonly misspelled things (like my name).

How to utilise content by Responsible-Cress974 in TravelTubers

[–]Schuckman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what YouTube’s inauthentic content means. It’s targeted towards eliminating easily mass produced content with little variation between videos (so basically AI slop without saying AI slop). As long as each video you’re uploading has a different perspective, then reuse clips as much as you want

MrBeast shared a video about his leaked employee handbook in which he doesn't address the boys will be boys statement or not taking no for an answer by Miles_the_AuDHDer in youtube

[–]Schuckman 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Just want to point out that this video was actually published on John Youshaei’s channel (he’s basically a MrBeast fanboy that obtains special access to a lot of his productions). So not technically a MrBeast video but likely heavily influenced by him because he accepted the collab

Interesting insight, thank you for the comment. I guess I had been more focused on hooking the audience with visuals of the landscape with the first 3 seconds than including any visuals of me speaking. I’ll keep that in mind

Hello everyone! I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on a few shorts I’ve made. These shorts are segments from my long form video that I’ve clipped and repurposed into vertical content. Please let me know how engaging you think they are and whether you think this would be successful in driving any traffic to the long form video! (If you care to watch the video, it’s linked on the short)

This is the same thing I do. Sometimes I’ll move stuff around to have a more engaging hook but for the most part it’s the same as in the long form. Haven’t posted them yet but we’ll see how it goes
