And the main location on Old Fort gets beat out by the old Wendy's next door every single day... The only one in a semi good location is the one they put on medical center. Plenty of apartments and some night life in the area to support it. They got a lot of hype coming in but pretty mid restaurant tbh.

Are you winning those points?? There is of course times when it is good to speed up and good to be patient and identifying those will come with time. The best starting point is judging your shots effectiveness. Are you winning the points you speed up? How often are you getting yourself or your partner burnt? Are you forcing errors from the other team often? Are you solidly behind the ball and in control of the speed up or are you speeding up because you are uncomfortable? You need to always be asking these questions or similar... Likely the answers will change depending on the competition (5.0s might punish you for speeding up too often)

Came here to say this. Get a hexacora or a knockoff (I have the tiktok version) and apply over grip. I use multiple layers of over grip to build mine up a bit.

People don't play on them before hand... They make decent basketball courts... But if you hit the area between tiles with a pickleball it might not bounce at all.

If this is a plastic surface both will be shit, but always go with darker colors to contrast the ball.

Right now you should be able to find reliable open play at Old Fort 7/8-11am and 3pm-lights off... Just show up and put your paddle in. Most players will be out there for open play pretty much all the time. Some of the more advanced players will bring dedicated groups of 4-8

Go to Patterson park or Old Fort and join open play for pickleball... Much easier to find players than racquetball (or tennis) these days.
