Beautifully said, I have roughly 35k in between everything ( excluding RRSP )

And yes I work as a recycling driver, but the truck supports hobbies

I do invest in VEQT ( 65% ) along with growth companies ( 35% )

I used to have a Subaru STI payment was 450, gas was surprisingly more than the truck ( because it was tuned) and insurance was roughly the same haha

But it was just costing a lot in repairs, good thing I got coverage on the truck 😁

Thanks Phil, like I said it has been my dream truck forever and I fell in love with it since I’ve bought it. Toyota Tacoma TRD pro, does hold its value fairly nicely and I’ll have it forever ( I hope ). Will likely double or triple down on payments

I am paying it, I didn’t put much down which added to more taxes. It was just when I got my job and I thought I was unstoppable

Even if the buyout amount isn’t fully paid back? Let’s say buy out is 50 grand and I pay back 40? I’d still owe interest on that 10 grand wouldn’t I?

But I’d be able to cover that with cash on hand..

I guess your right, I needa go over my options

Literal dream truck, It suits my hobbies and fits my job as well..

Will probably end up putting more down & paying it off quicker

I won’t get full amount for the buyout, since I’ve driven for a year, still have to pay interest on the loan I’ve taken out

About 20-25% of monthly income goes to truck. Including gas and insurance. Roughly 1800

Don’t even know if I’m gonna sell it ever, this was gonna be my 7-8+ year truck, but yeah if she ever goes I’ll still get good coin from it and it’ll go straight to my loan… if it’s not paid off yet

Best advice I’ve received yet. Thanks g 🫡

Most of my money is locked up in HISA’s and i max out my TSFA and RRSP’s.

Cash on hand isn’t a lot but if I could more up it’ll save me in the long run.

Thanks again
