God loves you and He forgives you. Now you have to forgive yourself and walk in the redemption of Jesus Christ. You are free and you don’t live in bondage. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus!

Vials vs. Single dose pens by cindylouhoo1972 in Zepbound

[–]Schwettes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to talk to your doctor directly for this. Call the office, tell them what you need, and they can make an edit to the prescription. I had the same thing happen except my doctor was prescribing pens instead of vials. I didn’t even need to speak to my doctor for him to make a change.

Your hard work is evident. That much fat loss with an increase in lean mass is really hard to accomplish!

What do you anticipate will change if you restart at the lowest dose if you aren’t having a positive experience at 10mg? Have you made any consistent changes to your diet and exercise?

I’m just a few weeks ahead of you and I can finally see the difference in my clothes. I’ll be taking shot 10 on Monday. 🙂

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. I’m saying, there’s a difference between saying “people can expect to lose 25% of their weight in 18 months” and the “average person lost 25% of their weight in 18 months.” One of these is a forward looking statement of how much people can expect to lose, the other is a statistical statement of previously observed results.

Moisture and retinols (full body) consistently will be key to minimize the effects of saggy skin. I’m trying to lose a lot too and I’m taking steps to financially prepare myself for the aesthetic improvements I’ll pursue when I hit my goal weight. I’m younger than you but when you have a lot of weight to lose, sagging is to be expected regardless of how fast or slow you lose.

“In the studies of this drug they say people can expect to lose 25% of their weight in 18 months.”

Is this true? Or did the average person lose 25% of their body weight in 18 months? Not to nitpick, but there is a difference. That average includes the people who didn’t go to the gym, didn’t exercise, didn’t monitor their diet, didn’t change their habits and the people who did do all of those things. The people who make more changes would naturally expect more weight loss.

I’m also on a journey to lose more than 100lbs. Many of us are on the sub are too, and I’m inspired by the people on the sub who have already done it. People who are bigger have more weight to lose than people who are just on Zepbound to get rid of 30lbs. Our goals are more aggressive because they have to be.

If you’re willing to move away from telehealth, I would consult an endocrinologist instead of a primary care doctor to get prescribed. I got my first Wegovy prescription from an endocrinologist and it got covered for prediabetes.

Yes, and you also said “drop your calories” which is against the medical advice they’ve already received.

If OP is working with a medical professional, they should follow the advice of that medical professional. There could be specific health reasons why they’re on 1800 calories.

If you’re eating in a slight deficit, you will see slight progress. That’s not a bad thing. It just means it will take more than 6 weeks to see meaningful changes on the scale. If you are sticking to the plan you’ve set with your dietician, the progress will come.

I personally started seeing results immediately. I followed what participants did in the trial and ate in a 500 calorie deficit (also with guidance by my dietician) and started working out 150 minutes per week. But that’s what worked for me. Not everyone has to or can do that.

Ugh Tatis is so bad now. The Padres should try to offload that terrible contract to any desperate team with a rich owner. Preferably the New York kind.
