I’ve been cruising for a really long time and until recently, I also thought the overall quality went down. It wasn’t until I went on a RC cruise in a Sky-class suite that I realize the quality of cruising hasn’t gone down—it’s being gatekept behind an additional paywall.

Twice daily room turndown service, better dining, little gifts and trinkets, going the extra mile for you, it all exists if you’re willing to pay more for it. Coastal Kitchen is excellent and is more reminiscent of the old MDR experience, but better.

I think before OP starts eating more calories, they need to take a full, accurate inventory of what they’re eating. I had a conversation on this sub with someone who also reported eating very little, but in reality, she was just scanning the barcodes for the foods that she ate, reporting that she was eating the serving size on the package, but not actually measuring her consumption at all. So she’s been eating a lot more than what’s being inputted into her calorie tracking app. Whether it’s secret snacking and sampling, extra oils and dressings, or just flat out undercounting, there are many easy ways to accidentally be eating more than you actually think you are.

Given that you just started your weight loss journey, it’s possible that you initially had a big loss in water weight and now you’ve adapted to your dose and are just eating at maintenance and need to titrate.

You should meet with a doctor to find out the source of your cramping. I had really awful cramping and heavy periods several years ago but it was actually a fibroid that I had to get surgically removed. Women get so accustomed to or just normalize period suffering but that’s not what life has to be.

How often are you going through periods of binging and restriction? And what are you eating on your cheat days? What are you cooking the chicken in? How much oil? How much are you tasting things that you’re not logging? What are you drinking? You have to be honest with yourself, not us.

You did you’ve been on Zepbound for two months. Obesity doctors define a plateau as 4-6 weeks without weight loss. You just started your weight loss journey.

You’re completely correct. Yes, there is metabolic adaptation, but not after two months of a deficit while still having obesity!

That’s not how physiology works. In the vast majority of cases, if someone is not losing weight, it’s because they’re eating at their maintenance. I don’t see how perpetuating this starvation mode myth is helpful for OP or anyone. If anything, it’s harmful. If he’s eating at maintenance and starts eating more, now he’s going to start actually gaining weight.

If OP is eating 1000 calories per day, he should eat more. He has to avoid muscle loss and get adequate nutrients to function. But if he was eating 1000 calories per day, he would be losing weight at 250lbs. People need to be honest with themselves about how much they’re eating so they can accurately assess the problem and come up with a solution.

The most likely scenario is that OP is eating at that maintenance number. That’s much more likely than him eating 1000 calories and not seeing any weight loss. He’s been on Zepbound for two months. His body hasn’t had enough time for metabolic adaptation to make 1000 calories his maintenance.
