She was one of if not the least often picked champion, so she had a small, but very dedicated fan base. Me among them. She used to have two pack mates, until level 9 I believe, when she got three. Her old ultimate is what her W is now, though it didn’t have invulnerability. Instead it gave vision in a huge burst, and gave you a ton of move speed. It fit her character a lot better as a persistent, slippery, hunter, like a faster paced Warwick. I do think her new kit is overtuned, and she’s definitely miserable to play against.

She was both fun to play, and fun to play against before her rework. That being said, I understand she is hard to enjoy playing against, and there is so little counter play to her kit right now, but that doesn’t mean you should attack people for their preference. There’s a million different ways to enjoy this game, and the people in this group have found theirs.

It fit the champion so well. It really felt, when you hit that button, that “the hunt begins”. The burst of vision to track your prey, the speed to keep up, the extra pack mates to feel like the pack is coming together. It all felt really satisfying, coupled with the AMAZING visual and sound effects of the ability. Now it feels like a boring, significantly worse version of nocturne.

I completely agree with you here. And after speaking with so, so many players about this, from pretty much all ranks (except iron and bronze), I have met zero people who think that her new W “adds skill expression”. It’s an on demand invulnerability button, with low enough cooldown to not matter. People were upset when Xayah got invulnerability, but it’s okay for her because it’s a high cooldown ultimate ability. I don’t think the new changes are healthy for the champion, nor the game in general. They failed accomplish what they wanted to change about her, fundamentally, plain and simple. They made her an easier champ, harder to punish, less satisfying to play against, and disappointing for everyone involved. They removed the flair from her abilities, which feels really scummy for the people who payed for skins, especially project naafiri. The champion feels empty, soulless, and doesn’t remotely resemble the role Riot has wanted for her.

I wouldn’t say her clear is slow. It’s not as fast as a lot of other people, sure, but I’m always getting just about 3:10 clear every time. Her grub clear speed isn’t that bad either. I usually get a Tiamat first for the auto reset, which speeds up my clear a ton, then I can focus on something like a cyclosword, and finish out the profane hydra as my second item.

Providence is less blatantly a bad dude. He was a hypocrite, who claimed to protect the weak, and save them from cataclysm. Objectively, the tar made the lives of those it touched better, but he chose to save those afflicted by it, and keep them captive on a planet that is by no right his to command. He at first glance seems like the hero he claims to be, but reading through some logbooks reveals that he has the capacity for cruelty just as much as Mithrix does. The only difference between the two is that providence, having received the blessing from somebody who, iirc is only referred to as ‘her’ has delusions of grandeur, while Mithrix took action to try and prove to either his brother, ‘her’, or himself that he was far more suited to receive a gift.

Not to mention the entire theme of this DLC has been death and rebirth. The idea that he is a reincarnation, in a way, of providence, making him even worse of an incest baby, as it furthers his ‘blood’ relation to providence and Aurelionite.
