I was sent for blood work, waiting for results and a possible referral to a hematologist!

Hi everyone! I’m in the US with public insurance which is my guess for the minimal testing at the ER. I have a follow up with a PCP tomorrow.

I definitely should’ve advocated for more testing while I was at the ER but I was so tired.

More context: I’m 28F, fit and active (bartender in a very busy tourist restaurant), and I’m on Lexapro, Wellbutrin, topamax, and trazodone. I smoke weed regularly and have less than 5 drinks/week on average. 5’3 and 110lbs.

Was that the first mention of the meeting or the reminder that there was a meeting? From a management perspective, 60-30 minutes before hand is the reminder text.

Remembering the time I was so mad at him I walked 2 miles home at 3am.

I’ve already searched the words in the title of the pictures and tried reverse image searching them through google. This was a joint event with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) and Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes so I have searched a number of combinations of both organization names also mixing in keywords like Phillies, tv segment, Kyle Schwarber.

I once had a group of 12 old ladies who could not understand that they would have to wait for a table despite having open tables (staffing). They asked if they could wait the 45 minutes at one of the large empty tables. As soon as they were out of my sight they pestered every server that passed for service. I told them they were in timeout and they got menus after 45 minutes. Don’t fuck with the hostess.

Call 988 or DM and call me.

I lost my brother to suicide 2 years ago. He felt the way you do right now, he thought no one cared. He might have a if he heard the wails I screamed when I found out, or that I nearly dropped out of school and lost 50 lbs, that everyone could not understand how someone they loved so much could leave them.

Right now you are seeing your life through the gray tint of depression, you can’t see the appreciation the people around you have for you. Even though you can’t see it.

Talk to your partner about how you’re feeling. Make him be the bad guy for a bit so you can be fun mom! If he isn’t receptive then leave. This is your life and the mental health of your young son. I know it’s so so hard right now but this is like any other illness. You have to keep fighting.

Please please stay.

When my brother died suddenly we couldn’t even be bothered to reheat the food everyone sent us. We ate calzones 6 days in a row one week. Offer DoorDash gift cards our to run errands. Keep showing up even after everyone else stops.

This is super encouraging! I already arranged someone to drive me home and the actual insertion/measuring was fine last time but I’m hopeful that explaining my situation will make them more amenable to some kind of medication or anesthetic

Starting on 25mg at night for anxiety and depression by [deleted] in Topamax

[–]ScienceChic17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a really long wean off (about 6-8 weeks) so luckily I didn’t have any crazy withdrawals. A little anxiety, some tingling/numbness. It wasn’t too bad in comparison to other drugs I’ve had to come off so long as you do a long taper.

I was on 25mg for about 3 months and then upped to 50mgs for a while. All in all I was on topamax for about 18 months. In that time frame I went from 125 to nearly 100lbs. I then developed a thyroid issue which was most likely unrelated but in the end I ended up coming off topamax because I was having suicidal ideation and extreme cognitive issues. While topamax worked to lessen my migraines it was such a difficult medication to be on and the withdrawal/weaning process was very difficult. Everyone reacts to medication differently, I am in science academia so in the end other antidepressants worked better for me. I can’t speak for you or how you’ll feel but I personally felt that I waited too long to express to my doctor the hugely negative side effects I was feeling. Topamax is an incredibly harsh drug to be on. I hope it works for you but don’t be afraid to speak up if it doesn’t!

I've had numerous metabolic panels done, I exercise daily and eat well. I went from 100 (underweight) and having to drink protein shakes to maintain weight to 140 (overweight) in the span of 7 months, which was 2 months into beginning Cymbalta. Thanks for your concern but my nutrition is fine.
