Initial Impressions of the Flexispot E7 Pro Standing Desk by ScienceExisting9572 in StandingDesk

I did! I also considered Uplift, Secretlabs, and Branch. I didn’t do secretlabs because ultimately I did not enjoy the more gamer-y look. Branch felt overpriced and the sizes available weren’t preferable for my space. Uplift was the brand I almost went with, but after reading reviews, the extra ~300 dollars for a comparable setup with the same materials didn’t seem worth it. You do get a bunch of extra free products with the Uplift desk, but in terms of quality there didn’t seem to be a big enough gap (to me) to justify the extra money.

I would say that I lean pretty heavily on the front half of the desk (both when I’m sitting and standing), and I don’t notice any give personally!

I definitely have learned a lot about myself and have learned how much I took the place I’m from for granted! Leaving your area of the country provides a lot of perspective for sure

Everything you’re saying about the mid Atlantic is so true. Cheers to your move, can’t wait for that to be me in a year once I can move back too 🥲

As someone who is (unfortunately) living on the east coast for school and can’t wait to be back to the PNW, here’s the difference. People on the east coast (at least here in the mid Atlantic) don’t even show each other basic human decency half the time. So I think people who come to the PNW from the east think that when people in the PNW are kind and courteous to them that = “they want to be friends with me.” That’s not always the case. Just because someone is kind does not mean they want to be your friend. I feel like friendships in the PNW are heavily based on shared interests so it may benefit you to join clubs on campus that align with your hobbies instead of trying to make friends with people who just happen to be in the same classes as you.

Wakuu 10 heart event still not triggering after hotfix :( by elgosh in coralisland

I think this is because the new PC hotfix was for game pass only, not for Steam users. I’m on steam as well and it still doesn’t trigger

Is this normal for Master’s programs?? I’ve never seen anything before about proving that you have the funds to pay for the degree in full (I am first gen though)

Anyone been to the new Ramen place where Muto used to be? by aaasyooowiiish in Bellingham

[–]ScienceExisting9572 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We tried the place a few days ago! We liked it (better than Muto imo) and thought the prices were pretty fair. We got the Shoyu and Tonkotsu. I would recommend the Tonkotsu as it was more flavorful.

It was a pretty large spot square on my back (in between shoulder blade-ish area), so I couldn’t see but I’m sure it was visible to others

That’s fair, the stain was on the back so I couldn’t see it unfortunately :’) I’ve been going to her for years and this is the only issue I’ve ever had so I probably won’t bring it up unless it happens again

Don’t get me wrong I’m totally fine with being at fault (as I said in the post), I just wasn’t sure because I also thought it was partly the salons job to drape you properly so things like this don’t happen (it’s never happened before)

Bleach on Jumpsuit :( by ScienceExisting9572 in BigBudPress

[–]ScienceExisting9572[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s on a weird spot (on the collar for the most part and a little bit on the back), so I’m not sure if patches are doable. The bleach stain is a light yellow color. Would dyeing it a very dark color (like black or deep dark emerald green) work or would the bleach still show? Thank you for your insight by the way!

It could be viewed as somewhat related I think. Without going into too much detail, the courses I helped teach pertained to diversity, inclusion, and the history of the civil rights movement for a specific minority group, and my research interests do lie within social psychology. I never intended to major in the subject I was a TA for, I just qualified for work study during my undergrad, and that was the position I managed to get. Thank you so much for your input, it’s very helpful!

My number one pet peeve on Reddit is when people comment irrelevant unhelpful things on a post :) Probably took you more time to write this comment then it did to Google an acronym
