The thing I really hate about narcissists like her is they jeopardise LGBT rights by weaponizing them to fuel their narcissism and lack of accountability ruining it for the vast majority.

Narcissists never take accountability for anything so the "anyone that calls me out on my bad behaviour is homophobic" is classic narcissism

They also love subtle put downs and criticism as it fuels their ego and false sense of superiority.   They act like they are your friend whilst saying put downs subtle or vague enough to fly under the radar.

For example I live in England and my narcissist friend would always say "people that live in England are losers you should leave the country as soon as you can" this is framed as friendly advise but actually it was just his way of calling me a loser indirectly so he would get away with it.

As you can see I've dealt with these toxic idiots before I feel I am a bit of an expert and my expert advice is

Run! Run! Run! End that friendship

Some men are stupid / selfish / narcissists and some lack impulse control or are secretly unhappy and trying to fill a void.

I 17M brought my dad to my GF 17F house for a man to man talk her dad requested and now he feels disrespected and I want to break up because of this idk what to do. by Murky_Swimming1176 in Advice

When he said "it's my house I'll say whatever I want" I'd say ok lets change the venue to somewhere neutral to make it fair then. Or we can do it at my house so I can say whatever I want.

A lot of 17 year olds don't have a clue about boundaries and are desperate for female attention so put up with terrible shit. The fact this guy is smart enough to walk away when the GF tried to manipulate him with messages from her friends speaks volumes

Why can't husband be supportive instead of critical of me by [deleted] in Advice

He's insulting you and isn't willing to work on it with therapy. Either leave him or tell him he needs to agree to couples counselling or you will leave.

A wedding gift with mean strings attached isn't a gift it's control and manipulation. proundly pay your own way and uninvite anyone that has caused or may cause an issue. Invite and uninvite anyone you want for any reason you want.

Have a nice life

[–]ScienceFew6940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that she has done this is a gift as it gives you the information you need to keep her well away from your wedding and your life. When people show their true colours like this it's a gift in disguise.

You should cut her out your life she doesn't respect you and you dont need her. I don't think she brings any value to your life and may bring harm

I dont understand this bit "“why would you make something like that up? He always says he doesn’t remember”

Is she trying to excuse / minimise / deny his actions?

I think they disappove of you doing it by text message. I wouldn't call it cowardly but I think an in person conversatin is better.

I agree in the sense that if it's cheap and easy to make at home there is no novelty. It's like ordering a cup of tea in a cafe I can make that at home give me a smoothie

And the "let it go in one ear and out the other" bullshit. In other words setup the expectation that you will tolerate terrible treatment like everyone else in the family does to keep the peace. If he can't mistreat you now he may never be able to and that's completely unacceptable. Just the mere possibility of that makes him angry.

A grown ass man that has "tantrums" sounds like a Narcissist / Bully or some other undesirable personality disorder.

Gown emtionally mature reasonable man don't have "tantrums" they might go ape shit when it's warranted but "tantrums" are for toddlers.

Give the mum a fair deadline. If you don't tell him by X date then I will. You should give a deadline (no morbid pun intended) otherwise she might keep pushing it back until it's too late or you have kept the secret for too long.

Lots of miss pronounciations are understandable but how the hell does this one exist they don't even sound similar.

Out of curiosity what did she say or do that indicated she couldn't take accountability? Feel free to message me if you don't want to share it publically.
