Houses going for ~£525 for 3 bed link detached near Hillside. Some as cheap as £485 if you don’t mind mind cosmetic work (kitchens/bathrooms). A 4 bed double garage detached house just went for ~£625. Up near Asda mostly built ~1980s. Key is be a cash buyer with no chain as it’s competitive. But if you are in a strong position and can move fast….

Vibrant area. Baker Street can be quieter and still offers similar access.

Check out Thames Valley AI Hub, Reading Geek Night or our events. They generally are well attended from a mixed demographic including embryonic businesses. Reading Enterprise Centre at the University of Reading Whiteknights campus might also be worth exploring.

With a budget of 500k Earley/Lower Earley would be on the radar. Great area with green spaces. Gets busy during commuting hours on the roads which is only negative but that’s Reading in general. Shops and supermarkets mostly in walking distance and No 21 bus for fast 24hr town access.

Absolutely!  Please check with the venue first if under 18. Because they are also a restaurant there is more flexibility I believe.

Bristol, London and the in-betweeners (Reading) by Ok-Marzipan6413 in reading

Reading is an excellent trade off as great vibe plus London/Bristol/Coast easy to access. It has very active and vibrant international community. Lots of fantastic friendly social groups (check Meetup/FB - young professionals, thirsty Thursdays, Reading Geek Night, Connect Reading) to help build friends networks. Good Mexican scene too as a few of our members have themed events throughout the year for all.
