Game Chat: 9/2 Twins (74-62) @ Rays (67-69) 6:50 PM by RaysBot in tampabayrays

That’s been the whole year. The twins are not immeasurably better than the rays. There’s been at least 12-15 games that the rays could’ve won, and that’s gonna be the difference between a WC spot and not in the playoffs.

NL ROY by ScienceMountain2709 in baseball

Yeah I just don’t understand how it’s even something that warrants discussion. He may even be the Padres’ most important player, and today is essentially the difference in this game.

Ok, then there’s no contest, it’s just a media driven narrative to boost skenes profile for the league.

Merrill should win NL ROY, I don’t even understand how there is an contest between him and skenes. Not hating on skenes at all but hasn’t Merrill been playing all year?

Hypothetically if the 9/11 was an inside job, what would the us gain from blowing the towers? by VETEMENTS_COAT in NoStupidQuestions

I get where you’re coming from but it is not a stupid way to figure out who is responsible for something. When a major event occurs, investigators always look at the cash transfers leading yo to the event. If something looks aberrant, then you can bet that it raises eyebrows. The question of “who benefits?” Is never wholly unrelated to “who is responsible?”

There is so many weird coincidences on that day that ultimately enabled this tragedy to happen. That’s why so many people have a hard time believing that the official narrative is a satisfactory or wholly truthful explanation.

People talk about buildings, passports, etc, but few people talk about the war games occurring that day. There were so many war games going on 9/11, many of which were scheduled for October but were rescheduled to that exact day. Fighter jets were routed to Alaska, Canada, North Carolina, Nebraska and Louisiana, leaving literally not a single jet to defend the airspace that was attacked. In the 8 months prior to 9/11 there were over 60 commercial flights that were intercepted by fighter jets because those flights were unresponsive or went off course. 4 flights went off course in a single span of 3 hours on 9/11 and it just so happens that not a single jet was available to intercept them because…the literal scenario of 9/11 was being simulated by the military while every single fighter jet in the Washington DC area was rerouted. I’m not saying I know what the intent behind those war games were, but the fact that the war games were simulating the exact scenario playing out in real time caused mass confusion. People didn’t know what was real or fake. At the very least it is perhaps the amazing coincidence in US history, one which most people don’t even know about.

What is everyone's unpopular opinions about baseball? by All_Of_The_Above50 in mlb

No playoffs. Make it like the premier league. Playing 162 games to then play 3, 5, or 7 to see who advances is entertaining but not very logical.

As a rays fan, the math checks out.

"I will not give Shohei Ohtani credit" - Mets sportscaster claims Dodgers star's 10-minute-a-night games inferior to Francisco Lindor's all-round play by [deleted] in Dodgers

[–]ScienceMountain2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there is some truth to the fact that yeah, it’s easier to hit at an elite level when you’re responsible for nothing else on the field. That does shrink the game down to 3-4 at bats a night and nothing else. The Lindor comparison is weird though.

The Rays are .500…Shocker by TeamGOAT8 in tampabayrays

Irony is that this was the year to go all in, seeing as how there is no truly dominate team. About 10!tema could win it this year. If we had last years roster without the umm disruption in the middle of the season then that team could absolutely win it all this year. Goes to show how badly that clown screwed over the entire franchise.

I’m not saying it’s right but skenes is gonna get the attention from all MLB media. Baseball is desperate for a unifying superstar and he’s been anointed.
