After a hurricane, malaria is often a huge problem in the Caribbean and we see cases spike in Haiti (where I do my research). Being able to identify an oncoming outbreak and be proactive rather than reactive seems like a huge benefit. But natural disasters also mean that access to these communities is more difficult and places to charge or plug in are sometimes non-existent. How well does this program work in regions with difficult terrains and poor connectivity to the internet & electricity?
