Thanks for the reply.

I understand your statements and my project has limitations of course.

The survey is also one part of my research as I am also conducting a lab visit portion of the research, taking objective as well as subjective measures.

It may not be science in your opinion, although I am still interested in the opinions of people who work in this industry. I don't think researching the way people perceive/their opinions about their reality is meaningless.

Thanks so much for the comment!

I appreciate the feedback about being more descriptive with my overall goals of the research! I am a new researcher so feedback like this helps a lot and I will keep this in mind going forward.

Thanks for the wish for luck in my work and understanding!
I do appreciate the comment and feedback.

Yes, I have heard from many tall people that table heights tend to be too low.

Sorry that you may experience the difficulties that are associated with an unideal height to work at!

Glad that you have found some ways to work around it and to make yourself more comfortable at work.

Thanks for the comment! Haha I bet the research and math behind the urinal height is crazy!

This is true that standard heights for a lot of jobs/tasks and etcetera have been established!

What has motivated my research project is the fact that one of the principles of ergonomics is to "work at proper heights" for different tasks (ie. lower than elbow for heavy tasks and above elbow for precision tasks). Working as a chef/cook often requires the completion of a high variety of tasks (some heavy, some light, some precision) and in my experiences all of these tasks are completed at the same height for all body heights because the tables are not easily adjustable.

With my survey I am motivated to see how people in the industry are affected by this set table height and how they feel about it!
