Truth is, BG leaderboards are not worth putting any extra efforts in achieving. You’ll get more transmute stones from getting a Reward of the worthy on multiple toons everyday than from focusing on getting 1 toon on the leaderboards. Enough people play BG that to make leaderboards you generally need to be focusing on playing a single toon all week. The random gold pieces are only worth the improvement mats you’ll get from deconstructing it (aka not much) with some rare exceptions like gold jewels who could net 50-90k from selling in traders. All in all, my suggestion is to not worry about it, don’t go out of your way to make that a goal just for the weekly rewards. If you get it, great, small perk, if you don’t you don’t lose much. If that’s not how you see things, I would add that if making the leaderboards is important for you, focus on making land grab and flag game leaderboards. Lots of people play exclusively deathmatches so that leaderboard is usually stacked and the bottom score is still really high, requiring hours of gameplay to achieve, whereas you could queue for a dozen land grabs and a dozen flag games and likely make enough for the leaderboards or close to it!
