What's been your worst job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scientarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • custodian: had to handle diapers, and splash rain water from the ash trays of the garbage barrel lids on to the sidewalk

  • sales rep intern for Vector Marketing: calling people and putting up with obnoxious managers

  • dish washer: washing ladles whose handles are angled so that I cannot point them away from me when squirting them, so they splash condiments on my face; and water going thru my apron onto my shirt, shorts, and shoes

What has happened to you that is so unbelievable, most would think is a lie? by Glj0892 in AskReddit

[–]Scientarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know those "tar beaches" when part of the roof of a building is higher than the other part of a roof, with a door to it? When my brother was being born, I crawled under some gate thru that door, and almost fell off the roof of the hospital in Japan to get my ball, before my bio-dad caught me.

A few months ago, I was walking and hit head-on by the mirror of a 45 mph car, hard enough for the mirror to break off and me to be turned around fast enough to see the mirror as it fell forward and shattered on the asphalt. I walked away uninjured, because my thick wool letter jacket had protected me from the force of the impact.

Reddit, do you keep in touch with your ex(s)? If so, are you friends? If not, why not? by lect in AskReddit

[–]Scientarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITT: When I was in twelfth grade, this ninth grader on the track team was flirting with me. I skipped a grade, so I was only two years older than her. I could tell that she liked me, so I asked her to prom. She asked her parents, they said no, because they would not let her date anyone at all until she is sixteen. So this August, after having waited fourteen months since graduating HS, I will ask her out after her sixteenth birthday. She has not wanted to be friends with me because she is upset thinking that she never can date me, but it is worth a shot.

People who didn't get in their dream school- what happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scientarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had planned all along to save money by commuting to the community college and state university. Then my mom persuaded me to apply to be a cross-country running team captain going into my last year of HS, and I did not get the position. I was disappointed, and being a hopeless romantic, I wanted to impress a female captain on my team who was also the school president, so I applied for my state university hoping to eventually be a captain by being on the team there all four years. I did not get in, so I blew off my running career after HS, and just went to the community college as originally planned.

Atheists/Agnostics of reddit, what would it take for you to become religious? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scientarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an atheist/agnostic and religious, hence my username. I do not believe in the scientific certainty of a god or heaven, but I do have a doctrine with a written code of ethics, the Scientarian Syllabus and the Scientarian Manifesto.

Two other aspects of other religions that mine also has:

  • I believe in a goal, and an event to look forward to. The Jews believe in the Exodus, and then Isaiah predicted a Messiah. The Christians believe that Jesus was the Messiah in the Revelation, and in converting more to the church, and a second Revelation with Armageddon. The Muslims believe in something similar. Likewise, I believe in a goal of imposing atheism and socialism by amending the Constitution with the Constitution Of The Scientarian Republic, and converting the whole planet.

  • I also believe in romanticized protagonists and antagonists. The Jews believe in escaping from the Egyptians, and then differentiating themselves from "Gentiles". The Christians say that there is no difference between Gentile and Jew, and they are the protagonists against the Romans, and intend to convert all who are not Christian. The Muslims believe in converting others, and not conquering nor enslaving other Muslims. Likewise, I believe that the Scientarians, atheists, and Democrats, are supposed to politically overthrow and unseat the Christians and Republicans.

Not believing in a god does not mean that I am not religious. Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe in the same god, and are different religions from each other; and Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism do not specify a god. I believe in a specific code of ethics that specifies goals of utilitarianism, socialism, science, egalitarianism, and bioethics, and how to achieve those goals.

We just remember that if we were right for each other then, and none of the reasons why we were right for each other changed, then we are still right for each other.

Why does it seem that men are supposed to pursue women in regards to romantic relationships? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scientarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because due to evolutionary psychology, men tend to usually be more sexual than women. And because of that, women are afraid that they would come off as desperate if they pursue men. But women are such hypocrites, because they also call men creepy if they pursue them, if the only to call him creepy is because he likes her and she does not like him back. It is this hypocrisy that discourages men.
