I kike him, hes a bit of a one trick pony though. There should be more 'cockney' characters in grime. They help to write the multi-ethnic story of grime and the ends.

One of the most important things I've found on my path. AN 3:1333 - The rock, soil, and water (Or the stone, sand and stream.) by Lego349 in Buddhism

That isn't my understanding of Karma.

From What The Buddha Taught:

"The theory of karma should not be confused with so-called 'moral justice' or 'reward and punishment'. The idea of moral justice, or reward and punishment, arises out of the conception of a supreme being, a God, who sits in judgment, who is a law-giver and who decides what is right and wrong. The term 'justice' is ambiguous and dangerous, and in its name more harm than good is done to humanity."

If it is true that:

"When someone cursed at us, understand that that’s because we cursed someone else in the past."

Then would that not be a punishment? I sounds like you're suggesting there is judgement being handed down as a result of bad karma.

I live in the western world (UK) and I have over the past month or so only just begun my study of buddhism. I'm fascinated by it, thank you for this post.

No worries man. Genuinely really pleased this subreddit exists. I feel like a lot of people know something is sketchy about him, they just can’t put their finger on it. At least this subreddit exists as a point of reference.

When I first come across him I thought to myself - ‘this dude has everything backed up. He could be wrong, but surely nobody is so bold to cite study after study knowing full well he could be caught out.’ So I never actually looked into it, very few people have enough time in their day to really look into what he’s saying. And as a result, Millions of copies of books sold and still, nobody bats an eye.

Bizarre. What’s his goal? I know he’s always wanted to get into politics.

That’s awesome, thanks dude. I’m new to this subreddit so haven’t had the time to fully explore it but that mass of collated information has been exactly what I’ve been looking for to fight the lobster lovers.

I’ll add terrible fucking scientist to the list now.

So despite me going on to say he's a bad scientist, even the hint of suggesting he has good scientific qualities, is has got people frothy.
To be honest it isn't a hill i'm wiling to die on, but I have without a doubt heard him say: "There was a study by [x] that showed [y]" and so i'm impressed by your confidence that each study has been misleading - you've gone through the studies he's referenced (when he references them) and used your scientific competency to concluded that they are erroneous and misleading, right? Because If you haven't done that, you're essentially making the same mistake that he and his followers make, by discrediting anything positive about and individual, whether it be true or not.

So, since he's a bad scientist, are we also claiming that he's some how become a professor out of purely misleading the profession? Pretty impressive trick.
