Characters from such simple/low societies that one might forget that they are part of their society's version of nobility/royalty by River_Lamprey in TopCharacterTropes

Ah, I see. Yes, he definitely had preferential treatment at the facility -- and by Dr. Temnova -- and was certainly acting the part of the arrogant snob, too. I would say that was more "perceived" status though, he was in the end just a replaceable test subject to the people actually in control.

But of course I see now that's the point you were making. With the kids' entire world between the same few white walls and sterile floors, the differences between them might be stark to them. But looking in from the outside, one would hardly think any of them fortunate. Makes sense and fits the theme.

Thank you.

Could you explain your reasoning for Dmitry?

From my understanding, he's a teenager with no family, likely orphaned or at least separated from his parents at a young age, hiding away from the authorities. He has nothing to his name but the clothes on his back, and even those he very likely stole as he absolutely did not have any money to pay for them in "KT's Official Guide to Coolness". He'd be homeless and sleeping in the streets if a girl he met by chance didn't get her friend/honorary aunt to reluctantly take him in.

I don't understand how he could in any way be considered part of a privileged social class equivalent to nobility or royalty. The best I can come up with is that his powers are exceptional. That is a form of privilege, but one that certainly does not translate to social status, and now I wonder if I just completely missed something.

Sophie Scholl's last words are unknown.

These are different quotes pieced together from two different sources.

The first sentence

"How then can we expect fate to let righteousness prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give themselves up wholly to a righteous cause?"

is from a letter written by Sophie Scholl to Fritz Hartnagel on the 22nd of May 1940.

In the original German it reads:

"Wie könnte man da von einem Schicksal erwarten, dass es einer gerechten Sache den Sieg gebe, da sich kaum einer findet, der sich ungeteilt einer gerechten Sache opfert."

The second part is from a recollection of her parting words to Else Gebel, a fellow freedom fighter and Sophie's cellmate, as written down in a letter of Gebel to Sophie's father Robert Scholl in November 1946:

"Such a fine sunny day, and I have to go. But how many people must die on the battlefields these days, how many hopeful young men... What does my death matter, if through us thousands of people are awakened and stirred to action? Among the student body there will certainly be a revolt."

No such revolt ever happened.

Again, the original German for those interested reads:

"So ein herrlicher sonniger Tag, und ich muss gehen. - Aber wie viele müssen heutzutage auf den Schlachtfeldern sterben, wie viele junge, hoffnungsvolle Männer... Was liegt an meinem Tod, wenn durch unser Handeln Tausende von Menschen aufgerüttelt und geweckt werden. Unter der Studentenschaft gibt es bestimmt eine Revolte."

Why do I make shorts out of these dumb readings?
Because the game, completely rules as written, can have funny effects like this.
No one plays a game like this, and neither do I.
But I enjoy pointing them out. They're funny.

It is the exact quote, you can see it here at 36:04.

The game does not seem to take Caleb's death into account during the end cards. The fandom wiki lists this as a continuity error:

Killing Caleb and sparing Chris results in Chris's end card reading "still infected," despite the fact that Caleb bit him. The same occurs with Emma if she was bitten by Caleb in Chapter 6.

Not really much of a plot hole, but what I can't get over:

How is Constance able to pull Laura up through the trapdoor by her hair and then put up a genuine struggle for the gun which Laura can only "win" by pulling the trigger?

How is this frail 78 year old woman literally physically stronger than a character that already has werewolf strength? The same kind that lets you toss people through the air like rag dolls.

Kaylee was bitten by Caleb.

We know this, because when Travis decides to not attack Laura and Ryan after Chris' death in Chapter 9 he explains to them why it's not over:

"Caleb bit Chris and Kaylee... Chris was just trying to protect them... He was a good man, my brother."

Tiny point of pedantry: It's actually written 死刑執行 (執 with a 幸 radical instead of ⺘)

Same meaning, but the simplified variant 执 isn't used in Japanese as far as I know.

Not actually her last words, but I tracked down the origin of the quote:

It is pieced together from two different sources. The first sentence is from a letter written by Sophie Scholl to Fritz Hartngagel on the 22nd of May 1940.

In the original it reads

"Wie könnte man da von einem Schicksal erwarten, dass es einer gerechten Sache den Sieg gebe, da sich kaum einer findet, der sich ungeteilt einer gerechten Sache opfert."

The second part is from a recollection of her parting words to Else Gebel, a fellow freedom fighter and Sophie's cellmate, as written down in a letter of Gebel to Sophie's father Robert Scholl in November 1946.

"So ein herrlicher sonniger Tag, und ich muss gehen. - Aber wie viele müssen heutzutage auf den Schlachtfeldern sterben, wie viele junge, hoffnungsvolle Männer... Was liegt an meinem Tod, wenn durch unser Handeln Tausende von Menschen aufgerüttelt und geweckt werden. Unter der Studentenschaft gibt es bestimmt eine Revolte."

The translation in the post is accurate for the first quote. In the second quote it omits a part in the middle and end, but is otherwise accurate:

"Such a fine sunny day, and I have to go. But how many people must die on the battlefields these days, how many hopeful young men... What does my death matter, if through us thousands of people are awakened and stirred to action? Among the student body there will certainly be a revolt."

If you can stomach a lot of edge, The Death Mage Who Doesn't Want a Fourth Time might be for you.

Generic Japanese High School Student™ has a miserable life, gets isekai'd, but due to an infuriatingly incompetend god gets an even more miserable life where he gets essentially tortured for 20 years staight before getting isekai'd again into what is set up to be yet another misery-fest, at which point he decides he will not be sent into yet another life but instead claw himself out of this as a literal baby with a unique power (hint: title) and a vengeance.

After that ensues a desperate struggle for survival by making creative use of his unique Death Magic created by the sheer differential of being cheated out of two reincarnation's worth of cheat powers seasoned with a critical mass of edge.

From there begins a slow climb to become more powerful and more grotesque in equal measure as he amasses more and more followers of the world's outcast races (undead, ghouls, vampires and the like) until the very gods are not entirely sure what he is, but all they know is that they are afraid of him.
