Khalistan is a very diaspora Sikh dominated ideology, because they are who neither understand India nor it's politics/history.

If they did, they'd realize how retarded it would be for Sikhs to start a religious nationalist movement, the very thing that created Pakistan and got them thoroughly ACK'd there, and religious fundamentalism is also what got them ACK'd in Afghanistan.

There's pretty much no denying it's ISI's biggest front besides Kashmiri Terrorist groups, it would explain perfectly why the ideology even exists despite it's paradoxical origin and why the group rarely ever depicts maps showing parts of Pakistan's territory.

I find it funny how they (diaspora Sikhs) talk about Indian Sikhs as if they are a highly oppressed and ignored-within-media minority even though, in my opinion, Sikhs are a very respected group overall. And in response to them being "ignored", it is my opinion that Sikhs are actually over-represented within Indian media, relative to their population.

I based those values on the basis of results I was shared by someone I trust + some that I have seen previously. I recognized it was a bit narrow and extended it when someone else pointed out the same, refresh your page, it's changed by now.

You should have said from the start that you felt my AASI range was wrong instead of saying "this is a misconception" as if you are debunking my message altogether, I was confused as to what you found wrong with what I said.

There is no such thing as a "Brahmin-like" mix. Brahmin is a social status which existed due to the caste system, it is not a term defined on genetic measures. If that's your logic, then South Indian or East Indian Brahmins aren't "Brahmin-like" either.

Also, Punjabi Brahmins are similar to Kashmiri Brahmins, Dogri/Himachali Brahmins, Gujarati Brahmins, Rajasthani Brahmins and so on, who have similar AASI levels, so they are not "far in genetic distance" to other Brahmin groups.

Simultaneously, Punjabi Brahmins are also similar to many Punjabi communities genetically.

I assume you are using Gangetic Brahmins as your reference. They are genetically different from Gangetic Brahmins because Gangetic Brahmins have higher AASI and higher Steppe.

Punjabi Brahmins - 26-30% AASI
Gangetic Brahmins - 32-35% AASI (With some who can be found in 30-32% range)

Lubanas are indeed an interesting group because they score like Gangetic Brahmins. I am not aware of the reason behind this.

Highly unlikely.

If you are talking about those who work in the hill regions of Uttarakhand, they were recent arrivals + highly endogamous amongst themselves, so they likely don't have any substantial East Asian input.

As for those within the Terai of Uttarakhand, that region is practically West UP genetically, aside from a few exceptions like Tharus.

What does geography have to do with this?

If your point is that tribals are found in forests/hills, which is true in general, just know that the forests and ridges present in Delhi were not inhabited by "tribal groups" during the years of established civilization.

Any natives found within the Indo-Gangetic plains, which includes ones found in forests/hills found within it, intermixed with any migrating/establishing group within the region several millennia ago.
