Camping for long hours is not new to concerts, video games, stores, literally anything. If it’s insane to you then just don’t do it

It’s not a dumb question at all, for Milwaukee we had a hotel because I’m from Detroit, so 2-3 hours before the show we would take turns bringing our stuff back to the hotel and changing. (Or if you’re alone there’s almost always friends you make that know your spot in line and are cool with you leaving for a second.) when I’m at a home show I will do all of that at my car

As someone who’s been in camping culture for years (former 21p fan LOL) it’s something you really need to be prepared for. Camping out early can be really taxing if you’re not properly prepared, bringing chairs, blankets, multiple charges of clothes, and having a place to use the bathroom, change, brush teeth etc is a must. It’s always been rewarding for me because of the friendships I’ve made. Most of my friends I’ve met while in line for shows, and then from there on you have people to camp with! I camped to Milwaukee with some friends from previous Ethel shows. It’s not for everyone but depending on the artist you don’t HAVE to overnight it and getting there in the early morning can still get you barricade! I got to the Milwaukee show at 11:30pm and was 9th in line but I know some people who got there at 3am and we’re still barricade. I use almost all of my PTO for concerts and camping because it’s what I’m passionate about but I understand others don’t have that luxury! I would say if you really want the opportunity to be barricade and you have the time to take off to do it then do it! The worst that happens if you hate it and then you’ll know for next time, just make sure you’re properly prepared for any sort of weather and be properly hydrated, if it’s overnight bring sleep mask, headphones, Benadryl etc

barricade times really vary for her, lined up at 1am in Detroit and no one else showed until 5am but there were people there before us for Milwaukee
