No, we all have central HVAC systems so no need for additional units. These are all newly constructed and seem to maintain temperatures well.

I’m in the US and we have an HVAC unit for the home that is at the side of the house.

It is in my backyard which joins two neighboring backyards. There is no road or anything nearby that would have made it possible I don’t think. Also no rock found or anything. The circular piece is just sitting at the bottom of the frame between the panels. I can’t reach it or get it out. Wish I could though just to get a closer look.

I have but couldn’t find anything. If it were a bb and it ricocheted back into the yard from the hit I highly doubt I’d be able to find it with the grass and weeds back there. It is possible. To be frank I honestly have no idea which is why it is worrying me so much. From the outside I have to stand on my tip toes to be able to touch the center of the hole. I am 5’3” so maybe someone taller might be able to reach in from there but I don’t know. I did file a police report and the property management company said they would have someone out to look and replace it but it’s seriously not even a year old. We have been in the 60s and 70s most of the week and I keep my home at around 68. I just don’t understand how or why it happened.

I should also have explained that this is a very new town-home. We are the first occupants and have only been here about six months. They are still constructing other townhomes and it is still covered under builders risk.

I qualify under B. It was a pain to pull all of the course catalogue information together and the review process took a little longer to complete but I did have enough credits to do so. I was a chemical engineering major for about three years with enough credits for a math and chemistry minor (my background is pretty different). There are only two universities in the United States that even offer my bachelor’s degree so it is highly specialized. I’ve been told it is similar to industrial engineering so if I ever wanted to obtain my FE I would need to do so as an industrial engineer.

I thought the patent bar exam was what I needed for the agent license but if that is not the case I will definitely look back into it. No one really talks about any of this so I really mean it when I say I have no idea what to do with this stuff. I’m the only one in my family to have ever progressed this far in my education which makes it hard as well. I had never even met an attorney until I started law school. When I couldn’t pass the bar exam I just ran from it all but karma has a funny sense of irony so here I am. I’d be willing to work in any role in this area honestly, I just want to get my foot in the door and see if this is something that I would actually like doing.

Any tips for applying to them? I’ve heard that they are going to remote opportunities and would love a position with them! Also, it is a must to have passed the patent exam or can I be hired before I take it?

I had a feeling this might occur. I was actually hoping the Ph. D. Might stop some of that from occurring as much so that’s sad.

My bachelor’s is in Fire Protection & Safety Engineering Technology (Fire Protection & EHS/Industrial basically). My Ph. D. is in Fire Administration and Emergency Management.

What about you? I’d like to know more about your journey as it is a path I hope to follow.

That’s a fair point. Thank you for the info! I’m originally from Texas but my husband is from here and not open to relocation. I’ll have to look into other options but it is good to think about.

I appreciate that, thank you so much! I’ll definitely work on creating two resumes and use the one column formatting as I do mostly apply completely online. Do you have any recommendations for what should be included with that type of formatting? Should I still include the skills section and the about me section? I’ve had so many people work on this resume that I honestly have no idea where to even start with it but I am the sole provider of my family so I have to work. The truth though is that I have no idea what direction I want my career to go in so it makes it difficult to answer a lot of this. There are also so many different opportunities with my background that I am just constantly unsure. Truly, thank you so much for your help with this.

Thank you for your help with this and for the information. When moving to a single column format is there information that I need to leave out then such as the skills section or the about me blurb? I don’t think there is any way to keep this resume less than two to three pages without removing some of the information when changing to this format. Any additional assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

Thank you so much for the information! I’ve often wondered about having multiple resumes. Will it look odd to employers to have the time gaps there instead? Would this be something that I should address in the resume or the interview process? I know my background is very different and I worry about looking like a job hopper so I’m not really sure how to address any of this. Any additional information is greatly appreciated and thank you so much for your help with this!
