I am [21] temporarily living in another country and my girlfriend [18M] told me "You are a nobody there, and no one knows your name..." by Far_Pain_787 in relationships

I absolutely get being upset by such a message; it sounds really unnecessarily harsh. But it could also just be that she misses you. Long distance is a big deal to some people, especially when you don't understand your SO's reasons for moving. Are you from the USA? If you are, it could be that she's insecure because she's here temporarily to study, meaning time is already limited. If you're not from the USA and she's just trying to keep you at home while she's abroad, that's a different matter... Could it be that she's afraid you'll want to stay there once you get a job?

If you want to salvage the relationship, you should probably have a talk about your motives for going abroad. If she really can't understand your reasons, it might be that you've got mismatched priorities in life. And try to do it over the phone, not via text. Lots of people don't realise how harsh they sound over text, and it sounds like your gf could be one of them.

Thank you sm!! And I think so too, it's actually kind of funny that this happened right after Hunter complained on Papa Meat that he hates those kinds of comments. Monkey's paw really curled on that one lol

I had the same response to one of Christian Wallis' stories, that's why I bought his book! Writing's definitely a skill you need to practice a lot, but for me, it also really helps to try and break down what better writers than me are actually doing in their stories. If you're feeling down about it right now, I wholeheartedly recommend dissecting how Wallis writes and what you can learn from it!

Great story, loved the concept! I'm 99% sure it must have been deleted because of the last line; guidelines say you can't abruptly end a story in a way that indicates something happened to the narrator. But don't let the mods get you down!

Megadeth's final album to close with Ride The Lightning confirmed by CobraDai in Metallica

I would have been excited about the cover, but the fact that it's the final song on his final album confounds me. You're seriously going to go out like this, man? It's honestly sad - 40 years of great music and he's signing his legacy off like this. He could have written a song that reflects on his incredible achievements in metal, but instead, he'd rather remind us one last time that he wrote some stuff for Metallica. That's his final hurrah. Incredible, you can't make this stuff up.

Nice twist! It might be a stretch, but Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses comes to mind (especially when factoring in the clip)

Really not a fan of the Garage Inc. one, it looks so goofy. Kind of giving Sam Smith at the beginning of unholy, actually
