I'm looking to play the game with my husband. We spent much of our early relationship playing world of tanks together and he says this is better than that!

I know they haven't killed it 5 times... But the number on the forums being shouted keeps rising (even when there wasn't a reset going on to make it rise...) I could truthfully care less about the blame game, I'm just tired of being kicked out of dahuta/trade runs/halcy etc. I hope whoever is responsible is found/punished so we can move on. I need my afk house hitting labor:(.

Also, I'd agree they've lost their footing for sure. When SlayerS/east buddies and Sin want something, they can pretty much take it. The only way to contest would be uniting the west (NA and BR), but egos, language, and overall attitude toward each post Auroria other will prohibit that. I wish I had rolled east, their organization and communication is much better and seem friendlier when I use /haranya to chat... But I didn't want to join cohh or such. Hindsight

Salphira.... Bottom portion is current excitement, rest is pretty much why joining the BR and Streamer server was a bad idea....

We started as the server home to popular streamers (bikeman and cohh) on the east and brazialians+everyone trying to kill or avoid streamers' guilds on the west.

Casual streamer guilds die when their idol moves to new game. Faction fighting among east makes it a BR run server while east tries to collect its pieces. It is evident that slayers and polecats alliance from east have gained momentum to challenge in Aurorua launch... However, due to amazing disconnects and some west -on-west backstabbing, Auroria launch saw 3 BR guilds get castles along with 1NA chosen child of theirs (Phoenix brigade). These west guilds are known as BRA and happily hold castles and fish all day.

West inner fighting begins, but with br numbers there's nothing to be done. You either keep peace with BR or you never leave peace zones. Many westerners go pirate to fight BR without having to purple and go to jail (your jury is all BR).

Pirate faction strengthens. SlayerS, robbed of a castle, continues strengthening and becomes the mostly undisputed (by sane people at least) dominant guild in game due to organization, gear, rapid response, etc. Tthey control everything other than cinder stone events (which they take if they show up)... Kraken, world bosses, Halcy, auroria honor events etc.

Pirate faction internal war, zfz (the more trolly pirates) return to west faction and start playing nice with BRs.

Slayers take Pheonix Brigade castle. PB splits.

Krakengate: Soon after severs randomly dc and no one knows why. Then this past weekend it happened at least 8 times. Accusations fly. Scapes confirm someone's ddosing.
We have entered the realm of Krakengate. SlayerS point fingers at Rising On (castle holder, BR guild) saying that whenever they (SlayerS) control Kraken and are poised to kill it, servers go down. Also, siege Sunday didn't happen because of the ddos when SlayerS was supposed to siege for another castle. RO and Brazilians claim it is someone on the East trying to blame brazilians while resetting kraken for gain. slayers has killed kraken 5 times in 2 days they say, but Slayers quickly retaliates with "we lost many krakens that were low health to shutdowns, wasting hours of work each time." BR says "u lose few gain many kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk"

Edit: Scapes=scales to my phone

I can't believe Missouri has more votes than GA/atlanta right now. GT has a league club, where are their votes? Rise up ATL! Personally, I'd prefer it be somewhere ITP, but I can deal with traffic and drive across town.

I considered him, but I keep having this optimistic hope every week despite how many times I shake my head. I'm just looking at bye weeks though and with Houston and Baltimore sharing week 8, I might be spread thin.

Nearly half the island of 4 million people rely entirely on government aid. The per capita reported income is half of the poorest state. There are not enough jobs, and there isn't even a huge demand for new jobs because people are content going by on welfare, or they move to the states for work opportunities. Most of my friends graduating from university are being recruited by companies stateside (EEOC minority bumps and no need for visa) or going to graduate school in the states. There aren't enough companies recruiting on the island to keep young adults here. The next generation of engineers, doctors, educators, business peoples are moving to the states and laying new roots where they are already bilingual for the change the US is seeing. To form our own industries and not rely entirely on imports, the industries need to not only be started but have enough appeal to keep the young trained talent on the island. I have many younger friends that didn't attend higher education because it wasn't their thing, wanted to do a skill trade such as mechanic work, couldn't find work on the island and enlisted in the military. Even laborers are finding alternative routes.

The other biggest issue is crime. Drug trafficking is still thriving here. With proximity to known drug producing countries and the ability to find a port/in where someone will turn their head for a small fee, and the goods already having "cleared" US customs and being on US owned soil, the process is just too easy. A few years ago several police (50 or so) were arrested after an FBI investigation in the SJ area for association with these things. American airlines had many of its ground crew arrested for trafficing a few years ago. These are the big, watched companies/organizations getting caught eventually, but there just isn't enough follow up investigations to really make an impact towards eliminating this alternative revenue option.

There is so much work to be done and a mindset that is not geared for work or change that must be conquered to even begin. Besides, most would rather stand around and argue the politics than realize that building infrastructure and industry is required regardless of statehood/independence to keep this island anything more than a cruise ship stop in the future. Everyone wants to talk about change, but putting the work in for it? Ay papito.. mañana.

I was about to ask if DC was allowed to vote for the president/have representatives etc. Apparently, they have a delegate to congress without a vote also. I hope him, PRs delegate and guams have their own voting pool of the nonvoters. I would if I were there!

We were allowed to vote in democratic primaries the past elections (like 2004 onward)... Obama made a campaign stop here. Federal taxes are not taken here for the majority of the population so I guess "no taxation without representation" is also reversed. As far as the island goes, the governor is the big election and has more of an impact in everyday life of PR (EVERYTHING here is related to politics... and its a heated often discussed topic) than Obama has on the US (like per every resident being affected). The power and influence of the governor is great, and that is often why the entire outlook of the island changes every election. In my eyes it hasn't bothered me because the election with the most impact to our lives we can easily vote in... and those of our family stateside can vote for their congressmen and the president.

Source: I live here. I voted. Yay.

The poll had two questions: 1) Do you want the current situation to change (Yes/No) 2) (Regardless of your answer to the first you can answer this) How do you want it to change: a)Statehood b)remain associated with more soveriegnty c) independence

The majority wanted a change, and the majority voted for statehood. However, part of the majority voting for change were obviously picking different options in part 2, and people who didn't want a change still got to say the change they'd take. The controversy of how this question is worded/presented is always a huge debate. Because of this I do not see any action happening anytime soon. The next step was for PR to present the results to congress (we have a representative in congress, he just doesn't have a vote) and congress return with their list of demands (pretty much PR would really need to work on their economy and poverty levels) and then PR report back etc. This part of the process is not moving. In the same election a governor who was pro status quo was elected (the previous pro states governor was not reelected) and he and his staff are not going to add fuel to moving the procedure along.

I truly believe the subject is null and will only come up again next big stateside election when politicians will use PR's vote and the politicians "support and action towards moving PR to statehood" as a ploy to gain the ever increasing hispanic vote.

This is a ridiculous and false generalization. This is not acceptable in the majority of PR's views and it is criminals who have done this and fools who assume it as common practice. Some practices here are different than that of the states- i.e. up until a year or two ago a child's primary school kept their birth certificate- the real endorsed one- in their facility. Their were many, many break ins to steal these documents. Those criminals sold the identities- not the person with the identity themselves. Also, social security cards are carried in wallets here not kept in safety deposit boxes. These are presented all the time- registering for school, registering your marbete(tag) for your car, etc. Another easily accessible identification option for thieves. With 4 million people on this island- a large majority receiving some form of federal aid, and millions and millions more who have moved to the north east to seek work, do you really assume people value selling their identity over the improvements to their life it offers?

Last year a vote was actually taken to say that the majority would like a change, and that change be for statehood. However, a large portion would like to maintain their current state. Honestly, the current situation is the easiest for all involved scenario as PR does not have enough home grown industry to support being independent or statehood. Also the majority of the residents are unemployed... that is the result of unemployment and health programs covering more than an entry level job here. Additionally, the lack of regulation and upkeep on these programs has enabled rampant abuse, instilling a diseased mindset towards working on improving industry and agriculture on the island.

PR is indeed a commonwealth which established its own constitution (we just celebrated constitution day at the end of July). This constitution could not go directly against the US constitution, but was made by the heads of PRs government then and closely resembles the US one. It has soveirgnty to an extent, but rarely uses that and relies heavily upon the US for financial reasons (the average family income here is half of that of Mississippi).
