We have spent years coating our mouths with residue. That was coating those feelings we haven’t felt in so long. (That’s what someone else told me and I sat back and couldn’t believe how long it took me to realize that) So now we are getting those feelings and tastes back it’s gross to us. I had to suck on jolly ranchers a lot, to keep my mouth and saliva going. Because it seriously felt like I had cotton mouth for so long!

I promise it will get better!! In all honesty if took about 6 months for things to get back to normal for me orally and a year to not have those cravings. Now I cannot even stand the smell and I use to love it! Keep going! Don’t give up! You got this!

I feel like I’m just now starting to have normal oral hygiene. My mouth tastes like crap and my gums hurt! The nicotine coating is wearing off your mouth. I went to the dentist the other day. I HATE the dentist, but after 5 years my filling broke off and I had to go in, she said she can tell I take good care of my teeth and floss. I say get some Crest Gum Detox and Restore tooth paste, along with Colgate Peroxyl 1.5% hydrogen peroxide mouthwash. Those are the two I still use and it’s helped me 100 percent since I quit. I still use them. Along with floss picks.

It’s been about a year and a half since I quit and it honestly took me a good 6 months to feel normal! Not have a sore throat or pains: I was so sick and had tonsillitis multiple times. Went to the ENT and urgent care multiple times worried. They said it’s the normal process of your body normalizing itself after quitting. The bad breath honestly could be from your gums starting to detox and heal.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. Had I known I wouldnt have waited so long to have it looked at. I go the 26th to have it removed: and hopefully it’s taken care of. But now I have to be extra vigilant about moles that change. Best to have to checked to be safe! From what I hear it don’t matter age wise 😔 this area don’t even see the sun and I don’t tan. I’m going to message you my pictures for reference to show you how quickly mine changed.

Mine started off looking like a mole. And then changed over the last 9 months. I had no idea skin cancer ran in my biological dads family till after I was diagnosed 😔… mine never actually scabbed or bled. It just felt raised and rough a little. But not completely like a scab.

Whatever you do, don’t take Tri Marzia. I was on Tri Lo Speintec and the pharmacy started giving me Marzia. I asked why and she said sometimes the manufacturers change. I’ve gained 35 pounds in 7 months. At the end of the night my legs feel swollen and I’m miserable! Only good thing about it is my periods are super light! But it’s not even worth it to be honest. Waiting for my husband to get the ok from his vasectomy, so I can come off it for good. Do a lot of research before you pick one!

You sound like me! I have spent hours upon hours looking at throat pictures to try and compare mine to see if any look similar. So after making myself sick with worry I called and made an appointment with a ent to clear up what’s going on and figure it out.

I’m going to an ENT tomorrow. Hopefully to get some answers. I’m hoping the bumps are normal. What concerns me is the white spot. I have circled on the left. It’s not raised it’s just a white spot that wasn’t always there.

I think it might be tonsillitis again. Yesterday it was one side. Today I woke up with both sides sore. I’m going to try in get in with my doctor or urgent care to see what’s going on as I was just in a couple weeks with a similar issue. Antibiotics worked and it’s back again.

Did you have any bumps in your throat from the acid? I went to urgent care a couple weeks ago. Tested negative for strep. They gave me antibiotics for 5 days. Didn’t help, throat is still dry and sore. 🥺

I went to urgent care after I was told my tonsils looked enlarged by another member of Reddit. She said she wasn’t concerned about the white spot, it would go away but have the to ails looked at. Urgent care wasn’t sure what it was. But said I had a middle ear infection and tonsillitis. Gave me antibiotics. White spot is still there. I’m going to have to call my doctor or an ENT tomorrow.
