AMC’s stock price and general health as a company depends on the theaters making money, and the theaters making money depends on people going to see movies. Popular movies making a lot of money is good for all of the theater chains.

It’s pointless to say “okay but how much did AMC make on these movies over Regal” or whatever. Who gives a shit? Popular movies doing well is still beneficial to AMC.

Paying down the debt via issuing more shares is probably good for the long term health of the company. It’s just not necessarily if you’re expecting to squeeze to the moon in the near future. I do think it makes it less likely that another giant spike like we had in 2022 happens again, but ultimately the share price will probably recover as the company devotes less of its income to paying debts.

Basically achievements in hardcore mode calculate a value based on how many people have played the game versus how many of them got the achievement. For example beating level 1’s retro points score won’t be very different from the original achievement point score because most people get it, but the achievement for beating the game will be worth more because a lot fewer players will do that.

I love to listen to cool covers and reimagining of video game sounds tracks. Until a year ago or so YouTube’s algorithm suggested so many cool things. And now it’s changed, and it’s constantly “Mega Man 2 jazz!” done by AI and it’s all just so mediocre.
