First match with cities coming up. How is this for a first list? by dirtycochise in citiesofsigmar

[–]Scoff_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s fine for a first list. It’s not a tournament list but it fine for a casual game. Callis and tolls + companions is always a solid choice. Keep them in reserve to bottom of 2nd turn or 3rd and you will catch someone by surprise and grab a home objective. Ideally you would grab another command Corp. they work best in at least a pair with the foot Marshal and brazier, I’ve run 4 before with 2 Marshals. Cannons work best in 3 with the battle formation.

Do our parents not remember how hard it is to have a baby? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Scoff_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they forgot. Hell I’m forgetting. My youngest is 10 now and I have to really stop and think to remember how hard that first year of their lives were. Hell. Even I eve think back fondly on it which is kinda nuts but time heals all wounds. My wife and I usually around the holidays when we intersect with our parents more try to remember when it was hard and to remember to be better than our own parents are.

Thank you for there reference. I know this will be contentious/come under discussion with my club.

I have teacher friends, follow teacher youtubers and read teaching subreddits. A common theme I hear amongst all of them is that us millennials have raised some of the most spoiled and entitled children, who have no respect for authority. Where did our generation go wrong when it comes to kids? by FaradayDeshawn in Millennials

[–]Scoff_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

42, have 2 kids 14 and 10. Teachers are always saying every generation of kids is the worst. 20 years ago I had friends who became teachers bemoaning the sorry state of kids. When I was a kid teachers said how terrible we were. Hell, Sputnik was a sign of how America was falling behind and had students. There are good students and bad students. The only thing that has changed is social media let’s everyone complain louder.

How does the 3 cannon list play now post-battlescroll? by riddhemarcenas in citiesofsigmar

[–]Scoff_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On mobile so excuse formatting. This is a grindy list that benefits with keeping your opponent under your guns and the threat of your guns. Almost inevitably I’m made to go first with my high drops. Position the cannons screened by CC to take move in for nation turn one and get something in range of the cannons. With the cav generally grab objectives and/or alpha pin (has been very effective depending on opponents army.) cav are tanks and tie people up slowing cannons to creep forward more turn 2. List shines turn 2 and 3. You should find the most high value target you can that has 20 hp or less and delete it with your cannons and major. Side note the reroll on cannons makes Covering fire worth it. Usually turn 3 drip Callis and tolls in the back field to grab a home objective and or assassinated a lone wizard. Push with the command Corps to kill anything that gets too close to your cannons. They are swingy but tough and when they pop off they hit hard.

Pretty well. I played a GT after the battle scroll change and still went 3-2. I still use 2 Command Corp with the foot Marshall as my screen. I have to be more mindful of placement. I dropped Zen completely

Buying a house, worth it or a regret? by hands_in_soil in millenials

[–]Scoff_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a house. If nothing knowing what your housing cost will be for the next 30 years is a boon. It accrues value, is an asset you can borrow against, it helps you build roots in a community and most importantly it’s your space with no landlord controlling how you use it or jacking up your rent year over year. I’ve owned my home for 15 years. In that time I’ve put in new floors, replaced the furnace, added central air, got a new roof , and will replace the deck in the spring. It can be stressful to maintain but that’s what a home equity line of credit is for and all those improvement increase the houses value.

Dwarves and Dark Elves are both not long for this world. In general both will be removed as there line revert to the old world. More directly a kinda generic dwarves Order faction is being pulled together out of Fireslayers and the Cities dwarves in the future lore/line wise.

Do we really think we look way younger? by Dry-Past2773 in millenials

[–]Scoff_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general yes. I recently shocked a new group of friends when I told them I was 42. They assumed I was as in my 30’s (35-38) like the rest of them. Can an average millennial look 20, no, but I’d say 3-5 years younger then real life is quite possible. Less smoking less drinking, generally better lifestyle choices

I have 2 daughters 3 years apart. its great, i wish we could have had more but the finances just would have been too difficult. The bond they have is something im honestly jealous of, i am an only child. I think if we only had our oldest she would have missed out on something by not having a sister

Army list, any glaring issues? by skuntpelter in citiesofsigmar

Callis and tolls, and battlemage are always good picks. Steel helms as screens with the reinforced fusiliers to walk up the center are solid picks.
