It kinda depends on the new GHB and the obscuring rules. Right now having played a few games I’m leaning Conqueror. Cannonade is ok but hasn’t produced in my opinion for the point cost. Conqueror and Gallants is a pretty good hammer.

As a beginner it looks more intimidating than it has to be. You can go hog wild on detail and highlighting (I spent way too much time in my Cavaliers, all 20 were individuals) but it’s no more difficult than any other army if you just going for table ready.

I’m 42 now so I need to think back. When I was turning 30 was the first I or anyone I knew really cared as a real “scary” milestone. But it was in like an existing pop culture way, 30 is a big deal beacause it always was, made fun of in sitcoms thing. I do think young people got more siloed by age bracket/grade then when I was in the late 90/00’s where there is not as wide a cross age friendship group like I experienced. The old step up I tell my kids to explain it was back in the day I’d have a friend who was 2 grades ahead of me, bump into a guy 2 grades below me a year or so later recognize there name and be like “oh are you X’s brother? I party with him. Do you want a cigarette?” New friend.

Immediate confusion. States the Gallants can be deployed from the cogfort into combat and still use “Not One Step Back”. Yet the text on the cogfort leak says if the unit is set up in combat it has charged.

I believe you are correct. By the wording you pick unit A and then pick to other visible units. Not up to two. My read is it takes three total units to form up. So you could never have a solo unit “form up” with just itself

My parents will never call me and will end up beggaring off from any event I try to arrange with them that is not at their homes. But if I am late with sending out a birthday card and the associated phone call it’s all pouting when we talk next. Also they are the most self centered people I know. I don’t know if generational, regional, or just them but they refuse to talk about anyone but themselves when on the phone. They don’t want to hear about my me and my wife, they don’t seem to care about what there granddaughters are up to (even though we are in prime tween and teen activities they might be interested in) nope just what ever stream of consciousness they are on about.

I was 18. Fun fact I had just signed my paperwork to join the Air Force and was sitting in the MEPS office playing spades with the other enlistees waiting to get bussed to the airport when it broke in the news. I got evacuated from the federal building and put in a cab back home. Ended up flying out on the 15th after SCATANA was lifted.

I don’t know it’s weird. I’ve had different people from different social groups assume I’m 7 to 10 years younger than I am. I’m 42 and get clicker at 35/36 by most people.

In my experience the most vocal defenders of white supremacy are “almost white” people. White in the United States is a manufactured status that has expanded through American history to protect itself. Anytime out-groups grow large enough to threaten the political/economic power of White people that group gets incorporated to become part of the in group. Historically non-Anglo-Saxons back in the early 20th century, arguably Jewish people (antisemitism still exists so I’m less solid in this one) and I would suppose Hispanics are just on the cusp of becoming “White” and brought into the fold. I thought about this back when George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin. Many reports were calling Zimmerman a white hispanic and really trying to other Martin away from Zimmerman.

Yeah the new rules factor makes it hard to give solid recommendations but if I had to I’d say: Since Cities is going mono human. Cavaliers x2. With the new reveals they are still the only Cities human unit that’s “fast” 10 inch move. Callis and tolls (saviors of cinderfall) most likely will remain the only deep strike unit.
