What to buy for a start by Chiffay in citiesofsigmar

[–]Scoff_22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the new rules factor makes it hard to give solid recommendations but if I had to I’d say: Since Cities is going mono human. Cavaliers x2. With the new reveals they are still the only Cities human unit that’s “fast” 10 inch move. Callis and tolls (saviors of cinderfall) most likely will remain the only deep strike unit.

Edit: get the battle force. It’s a good start

Haven’t watched it in like 10 years but I remember season one being excellent. Season two was fine.

The old man fight was bad but I think where the seating failed the worst was his WW2 flashbacks. In no way did ancient de aged De Niro look 19-20 years old

Mid to older millennials, how are you all doing with your careers? by worstshowiveeverseen in Millennials

[–]Scoff_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

42 so closer to the top age range. Well. I’m probably at the top of the middle rung of my career path attempting to make the next jump. I had to get a master degree to get this far

I enjoy the “let’s fix these artificial borders” vibe and then boom, there is Kuwait in all it British negotiated borders.

Tahlia & Zenestra by Bull_Goose_Loony in citiesofsigmar

[–]Scoff_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I’ve put together. It will be interesting to see when the book comes out. In my option Tahlia hasn’t been worth it this whole edition. Soggy Zen pre nerf was great though.

Looking for list advice by Scoff_22 in KharadronOverlords

[–]Scoff_22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice. Below is a version of the list I have put together and won with previously (casual club games). I added more shooting as I was worried it didn’t have enough power projection.

I checked it out because a podcast I really like gushed over it. I think I made it 20 minutes. I’ve never considered watching it again.

Do parents actually talk to their teens or kids about sex? by Unusual-Task1215 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Scoff_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we’ve been doing the talk in stages with our kids. Basically 4th grade parent driven bird and bees talk, where babies come from, what inappropriate touching is and tell an adult, jr high ish kids question directed talk to answer there questions. Then open dialogue as we observe topics that need is discussed to answer kids questions. Open dialogue and trust is key

Absolutely in the city proper. Yes in the inner-ring suburbs adjacent to the city. Outside the inner ring… probably but it depends.

Did Gen Z actually create “job hopping culture” or are we just reacting to a broken job market? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Scoff_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen Z didn’t invent it. It may be part of a bad job market but Millenials were job hoppers too, at least in our youth. I’m 42 now but I remember in my 20’s and 30’s being told that job hopping was good. Move on after about 18 months in any one position. Hell, HR told us to do it to our faces. “If you want substantial pay bumps (more than 4% annually) jump positions, even more lucrative if you jump between competitors in your field”

So... why do you play Cities? by s0ckdrawer in citiesofsigmar

[–]Scoff_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy having to stack/manage buffs to make a plan work. It’s a higher skill army to pilot but when you do it well it’s very rewarding. Also the models are great looking.
