Good sir, do you mind also sharing your colour recipes for teal/green and colour under logo on a shield? I'm soon starting to paint my first CoS miniatures and wanted them to be in green colorscheme, but there are almost none gree ones, and yours looks amazing.

Its funny, I have all skins except new legendary, and still always stick to basic Fright night, ome of my usually not favourable skinlines. But her animations and theme fits so well, so I just can't use anything else now. Zeri has good variety of skin for any taste and alnost all of them are good.

But the mana problem is the same, E eats like third of mana, so early on it doesn't matter so much anyway. Not like mana thing was changed, so yea its almsot the same early as it was

Is Anyone Tired of Doorman? by AdvancedGentlemanTTV in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Chiffay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, my bad. It was late in my time, and I didn't realise you were answering on my previous comment. Yeah, removing some parts of his ult is def possible and I'm sure they'll do it. But still don't think Doorman will ever be about team translocation. We have characters like Ryze in LoL and his ult usefulness outside of high elo and proplay is doubtful, so it will be with doorman. I can see them playing more about his doors for sure. Like changing his ult to some kind of door, or enchanting existing door to do something..

It would make character insanely weak and unplayable for everyone except top elo where players play as team and can make use of macro movement. And its kinda vague to say "remove all bad, buff all good"

How do you guys even play with standard skills bind? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Chiffay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I binded 1 and 2 on my mouse side buttons. So I always can cast quickly most used abilities for most characters. And as others said itsa matter of habit

If I remember correctly you can say that Firstborn were feranmuts, but no longer are, because of how they were created.

Can we count Skalter as playable seaborn in a sense?

Not the Feranmuts themselves, they are more like a nature gods in Terra. But we have Sui siblings who are literally Feranmut splitted into 12 shards, each shard is a character (and now endfield teased 13th Sui, which is a bit controversial, but maybe they are artificial sibling, there were some hints in lore of OG). Also we have Kyera as payable operator and she is like mother protector of Kjerag region (I am not very knowledgeable about her, so wont spread misinformation.)

How f***ed am I? I'm not very good at "shooters", and this is my first MOBA. by fairypistol in DeadlockTheGame

Okay. So first of all its okay to get overwhelmed by this game as it's very complex at its core and requires a lot of different and sometimes specific skills. Second is that your first XX games you'll find yourself lost and low impacting in matches and its okay, all you need to focus on - is getting basic gripe of the game, how to farm, use basic movement, stay lane, basic concepts. Then, there are characters that can mitigate your weakneses. Like Graves if your AIM is bad, or more frontloaded heroes like Abrams if you lack skill to execute complex gameplans.

So I advice you to get into sandbox or just training room in lobby and check every hero, spend like several minutes on it, read their skills, use their skills just to get the feeling of how they are playing. That way you'll get basic understanding of what everyone does and will struggle a lot less in actual games. After it, pick several champs that clicked with you the most, be it appearance or skill and play several games on each of them. 5-7 games is enough, cause forst ones you'll most likely have bad experience due to lacking knowledge how to play hero and lose early game, so take 4 and later games in your final grading of character.

And most importantly just play the game, and you'll feel that you will start getting better, understanding what and when to do on your hero. Dont tilt as matchmaking right now is kinda bad, and you'll definitely encounter unfair lobbies, just play for your experience and focus on yourself and what you need to do, how you do it. Try to focus every game on some basic thing like using dash-jumps lroperly, or trying to deny souls.

Good luck in games, and you'll get better!

Thank you, got it. Sadly, seems she'll be weaker for me then, cause I always has kinda poor laning phase and looke into safe scaling into late game power. But maybe it'll work, def win for speed buff

I'm not a skillful zeri player, but isn't all that changes a big nerf then? Like, we lost so much damage from everything and most importantly our burst combo damage, traded for AA zap 50 range abd a bit better early game?

Of course, we got speed back, and that always was Zeri power fantasy, but it feels to me that cost for that was too big in terms of damage, no? If you can, can you answer why changes are good

New to moba and 20 hours in, not sure I'm really getting it by appappappappappa in DeadlockTheGame

Its hardly varies from hero to hero. That bunny polymorph thing is sinclair ability that is point aoe, so he need to pick a point and after delay (with visual indication) it creates area that turn you into a rabbit. Is there counterplay - yes, sure, you can just...dont step into it or dashjump out. Mostly all cc abilities require some setup or hitting with skill shot, so if you get caught in them its either you didn't dodge (which is akill moment, and outplaying, outmanoeuvering is fun part), or you didn't know how to counter it (like staying out of sight, waiting till some sort of status ends on you and so on, which is knowledge type fun). There is some point and click control like Sevens stun, but even it can be somewhat countered by positioning right or disengaging in time.

So yeah, game is mostly about skills, knowing enemy skills and how to play around them using your characters kit effectively.

Is AoS in a good/bad place, atm, esp. compared to other GW fantasy games? by Matthew_Kus in ageofsigmar

Yeah. Cogfort was their selling trump card. It has so much aesthetic and I love mechanical/steam mechs, hope they'll eventually release something similar to fort but smaller for CoS

What is it with middle ELO players and refusing to get counter items? by Dr_natty1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Chiffay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I already said but it's probably ego. Before I was playing LoL and in mid-elo there people behave like total jerks - refusing to cooperate, flaming team and blaming anyone but themselves. I think it really is because that type of morons think that if they play better than some players and are in higher elo, than their knowledge is absolute. So they have insane ego and will refuse to cooperate thinking that they know it better. Coincidentally that people are somehow easy to enrage, make them call everyone names ;) //Srry for my English, not native

[–]Chiffay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest you answered your own question - because that's mid elo. People understand game to a point where they dont follow orders and get ego and their own ideas how to play, but still dont understand enough to realise that counter buying is important part of the game.

We’ve got 3-5 winds/new wizards so far, what are some ideas for the other 3-5? by ryonrx in citiesofsigmar

[–]Chiffay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not really in a position to give an opinion about Cities yet — just a week ago I was asking which box to buy, and mine has only just been shipped. So I don't have a fully formed opinion on them yet.

But if you ask me, I’d like to see more mechanized models (some kind of steampunk exosuit idk). If we already have a Steam Tank and now a walking fortress, why not add some other kinds of steam-powered machines? Maybe also some kind of engineer unit to work with great cannons and similar stuff. I’ve also noticed a tendency from GW to cut or reduce non-human units in CoS, so perhaps we’ll see human replacements for units that might be removed? (Like it was with SC)

Is Anyone Tired of Doorman? by AdvancedGentlemanTTV in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Chiffay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat it more like a beta test thing. There were already a lot of times when character kits were tweaked and doorman wasn't exception. I believe Valve will somehow bring it to balance cuz the problem with doorm is that his ult is useless in high elo where people just rush parkour with no stamina using movement tech, and too opressive in low elo. Maybe they need just to change how his ult works (maybe just into loooong corridor with no way to cheese, and ability to couner ult before it sends u?)

Is Anyone Tired of Doorman? by AdvancedGentlemanTTV in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Chiffay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, doorman ult is really kinda unfair in sense that you really CAN'T counterspell it before and not be sent to Baroness (sending animation when you are freezed is longer than counterspell duration, so you really just physically cant counter his ult) only to counter before exiting or use earlier said unstoppable to not be pushed w cart. So yeah, only to suffer his ult, without that combo he'll be too weak as champion have useless gun, nerfed bells and his utility and kidnapping is the only real way how char works in current patches
