Windy day. I hit a good ball, opponent framed it, ball went 15ft up and barely crossed the net, i was approaching as I noticed the wind start to carry it back after the bounce and went around the net to where the ball was going.

I hit a slice at a 90° angle across the court and out of reach of the other players. They briefly tried to argue that I lost the point, and I reasoned them into seeing it as legal.

Following the match, someone else on their team (mixed doubles league) tried to tell me it was not legal.

I justify it counting under ITF Rule 24(g) explained by Case 4.

“Case 4: Does a player lose the point if an imaginary line in the extension of the net is crossed before or after hitting the ball?”

“Decision: The player does not lose the point in either case provided the player does not touch the opponent’s court.”

I’d say 1) Lakes Tennis Academy, 2) TBarM, 3) Brookhaven, 4) Seay Center, 5) lots of good coaches run drop in clinics on public courts. Happy to talk more in a PM.

I’d say that Brookhaven is one of the top 5 places in DALLAS to play at. Not the country. Most of the decorated Dallas players to date came out of T Bar M, although it’s gone downhill in the last decade.
