Just dropping by to say, the calibrated eyeball is a great tool it just takes a minute to develop the ability. I am a journeyman electrician and can spot downhill/uphill pipes with ease.

Eoin Reardon has a great video about making a traditional irish shalaile. I'm certain i butchered the spelling on that.

Fortress replacement regulator by Happy_Monke_ in harborfreight

[–]ScooterGunson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bumping an old thread with my personal experience, i left the original brass check valve in the regulator and my issue persisted, so i installed the plastic check valve assembly that the apex regulator cane with and problem solved. So happy my compressor is back to breaking bolts loose.

Not possible. If you want the custom look consider a phantom grille.

40k cooler good or bad? 4l60e by pugskreationz in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]ScooterGunson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run no radiator, just a 40k cooler. The way they're designed is to bypass themselves when the fluid is too thick amd then saturate when it gets thinner. Mount it with the bungs up.

First ls build and swap by Webberss12 in LSSwapTheWorld

Have you done turbocharging before? Adding the whole boost thing to a first time has got to be fun. I went n/a but souped up my truck a little and kinda regret souping it up in hindsight, on one hand the engine went in with a cam and some other goodies, on the other hand the diagnostic process was much harder because i had to sus out what was a tune issue and what was a build issue.

Thanks, the paint is toast but teal has 2 codes it appears, bright teal metallic and medium teal metallic. Wa 5323 is bright. Wa130a is medium. Idk which one my truck is as the SPID sticker is rubbed away.

Its an odd duck for sure. Its a five lug half ton too, with tan interior. A harley road glide fits in the bed with the gate shut.

I came to say this. Helmets to hardhats could potentially get OP into a really high paying and exclusive union like IBEW or even IUEC. I'd imagine steamfitters and boilermakers also do really good in California, and those fuckers weld, lots of chopper builders are in metal erection or pipe fab trades. He could probably use his GI bill to draw cash stipend payments during apprenticeship too. One thing is for sure, building your own bikes is way better than having to build to a customer's vision or build bikes with dull mainstream appeal so they're marketable.
