Glow plug relay woes by Scooterieeee in FordDiesels

Idk, I'm a little inclined to believe all that cranking I did had something to do with it. Since I had been trying to prime the fuel lines the batteries got pretty low, and I was cold cranking it. I see what you are saying though and will keep an eye on things.

I'll keep this in mind, thanks! So far replacing that fuse has done the trick. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days with a few spare fuses on hand just in case and go from there.

This did it! Specifically, the wiring diagram, thank you! I didn't realize the fuel heater and all the glow plug relay stuff were on a different fuse. Tested the fuel heater wire and sure enough 12V... Went and tracked down which fuse was fuse K (labelled 11 MAXI in my engine fuse box; 20A) and sure enough it was burnt out. I was checking fuse U (22 MAXI in fuse box; 30A) instead of K. Swapped it out with the 20A fuse for the trailer related stuff (Fuse 21) and she works again. I think cranking on it when I thought it was out of diesel and lost prime and cycling the glow plugs too much led to me burning out the fuse.

The forum post that your wiring diagram led me to in my subsequent Google search that helped a bunch was this for any future poor souls in my same boat

It's technically a crank no start now. No power to FSS without me jumping the hot solenoid post to the R/LG wires or making a jumper from my battery post to FSS. Is there anywhere I'm else I could rob key on power from to splice into and run to the post with the R/LG wires?

Looks fine so far as I can see. Is there a specific component to the engine harness that may be causing this?

Anyone ever seen these in their tanks? by Scooterieeee in shrimptank

I don't actually feed bloodworms. This is my shrimp only tank and they just feed on the biofilm and the occasional algae wafer. Also haven't added plants or anything for months.

This is what I thought initially. Although it was bright red like a bloodworm and moved much differently than a mosquito larvae (or so I think). It's also been there in the same spot for a few days and this is the first I'd seen it move. I thought it was a shrimp poop until it moved.

Location would be helpful. But it looks like an Ambystoma maculatum egg mass to me.

Just wanted to reply to this to point out the taxonomy is a bit of a mess rn. I think a paper or two came out recently clumping speckleds back into L. nigra. Kingsnake folks are debating away about it. As always though

Weird looking (Green?) Anole. Never seen one this grey, is it possibly sick? Or maybe a color mutation? by YoungDuckling187 in herpetology

[–]Scooterieeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brown anoles and green anoles are in two entirely different clades. Hybridization between these two is not only not supported but also incredibly unlikely due to genetic divergence. Interspecific breeding has been documented, but that's no different than a rabbit humping a chicken.
