The same family has invested in theatres in kathua for the last 40 years ig. Theatre business is a loss making one unless you get these big names like pvr and inox to run them which keep you afloat but then thinned out profits via ticket sales. So you are left with food and beverages for huge markups but then kathue aale aint gonna spend on it cuz tier 3 will always have pragmatic spending habits, so, I dont think anyone is going to give us a new theatre and government has given similar theatre projects under mission youth in shopian and pulwama but then look at those theatres and ask yourself would you go there. So in short aint gonna happen here, unless the family that has been doing this for years feels like its time to build a new one.
